  1. Hi. Welcome to the forum. The 50% discount is the summer sale. Not sure what you mean by new player discount. The other type of discount is Pre-Release / Early Access and is usually 20%-30% off. You do get points for making purchases which then can be added to a future purchase, even on sale. That's the only way to stack savings on modules. There is a "free to play" period going on as well to try out modules before purchase.

EDIT: I do see "new player discount" mentioned in another thread. Wasn't aware of it and don't know if it would be combined with a sale price. My guess would be no. it would just allow a new player to get a discount without having to wait for a sale.

  2. According to in game encyclopedia 9m114s are 40 kg apiece (80 kg=177 lb) and empty rack is 29 lb. So that's 206 lb plus unknown weight of launch tubes. When you load a set on one pylon it shows 507 lb. Doesn't seem like they should weigh as much as an S5 rocket pod.

  3. OK, Just tested. Strange that it switches to limited aircraft. It has to do with that Historical List thing limiting available aircraft. Uncheck that with clock symbol at bottom of screen and all planes should be available. With US chosen in 2016 Hornets available bot not with Canada. Maybe Canada didn't have Hornets in 2016 or at least the Sim doesn't think they did.

  4. Not sure Im understanding problem. Missions always start with default skin that you can change, as you pointed out. Thats a stock skin that only shows up if you pick Canada as your country but you can make a copy of description LUA, modify it to show up for any country and add to Saved Games liveries (custom skins). You can also open missions in mission editor and save after changing liveries so it will show up instead of defaulrt.

Started with a fresh DCS folder in saved games, I did copy nothing from renamed folder inside. I just import my saved HOTAS bindings for the modules I own.

I've tried new Saved Games folder again but still got crash. I wonder if not copying anything back in is the key. Along with Inputs I usually add Options presets ( not Options LUA), Views, Payloads, and Missions back in.

  6. The crash window only appears behind DCS screen so alt/tab allows you to see it. Log should still be created. If Bignewy's advice doesn't solve it try changing windows compatibility setting to windows 8. ( In DCS / Bin folder right click on DCS app / properties/ compatibility ) Only drawback is longer load times and long blackscreen when exiting.

  7. My first impression of Syria in 2.7 is it looks much better with new lighting and performance has improved. Wasn't looking at FPS or rigorously testing but felt smoother flying low over cities and a random stutter issue I had before is gone. My only complaint would be the new billboards that all say "Normandy 1944" on them everywhere.

  8. When toggling through liveries (many custom) it will stop showing skin, liveries will start to be all or partially blacked out and then game crash. Logs mention not enough memory and not being able to render texture errors. Seems like its loading all these skins into memory and using up RAM.

  9. What are you trying to do? Havent played TTI in a while but I know using comms ( \ and F keys) will give you options for the mission and it already randomly generates scenarios. Are you sure you need to tinker with triggers?

On pages 1 and 2 of missions and campaigns sub forum there are threads for TTI missions.
