Hi! I'm planning to build my first Cockpit Panel using Arcaze USB. First I'd like to have three trim knobs. They should have a neutral position or a reset button on top. My main problem is, that I don't know which components I should buy. Maybe someone could post some components he used for trims, switches, etc. This would be very helpful.

Total immersion. What impressed me the most was to feel the real scale of planes. First time I jumped into the cockpit of a FW190 and leaned out of the cockpit and saw the really big nose with the propeller. Awesome!!! BUT: I was really disappointed by the low resolution of the Oculus Rift. Cockpit controls are readable but everything in the distance looks extremely blurry. After the first WOW-Effects I was disappointed because I wanted to see near planes and the terrain much sharper. That's why I sold my Oculus. Now I'm hoping for the Pimax 5K+. The first reviews are looking very promising.

Hi! I stopped playing DCS because I sold my Oculus Rift and once you have played with a VR headset you can never go back. My main problem with the Rift was the low resolution or the low PPI. The instruments in the cockpit were readable but when I looked out of the window everything was very muddy and unsharp. Distant objects were extremely blurry. No matter which settings I used. That annoyed me extremely and I decided to sell the Rift and wait for the next generation of VR. So now the Pimax 5k+ is on my radar, but before buying it, I want to know if the problems I mentioned above are solved by the higher resolution/ppi. Do I need lighthouse cubes for seated gaming, or are the internal sensors of the Pimax sufficiant enough? Current Hardware: i5 6700k (maybe upgrade) GTX 1080TI 32GB RAM

Warthog HOTAS - Idle position
Sunshadow replied to Sunshadow's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
You are right, I'm flying the F18. For the startup procedure I want to recognize the throttle lift for every engine. -
Hi! Can anyone explain me, how to configure the Warthog HOTAS throttle to send the engine idle (rShift + pos1) command when moving into idle position? Some profiles have this feature but I don't know which settings I have to make.

Sounds very useful. Hope we will get this feature soon.

Thank you! But how should it be used when it's implemented properly?

Hi! I'm trying to use ATC mode for landing approach, but I don't know how to use it properly. When should I activate ATC? In final approach with AoA of 8.1 degrees, or earlier?

Hi! Don't know if it is a bug or not. Switched to A/G mode, made a program to drop some bombs in Auto-Mode, dropped them and then turned the drop mode to CCIP (same program). But in the HUD was still the Auto mode active. Any idea how to refresh the modes in the HUD?

Don't know if it is possible, but it would be great to assist new players by "switching" to their cockpit view and draw markers, arrows or highlight something to give useful hints.

No. The device is placed with a 40° angle on the desk. Works perfect. Butt on the top of the monitor (eye height) it made big problems...

Awesome! Thank you!

Hi! I'm looking for printable charts of all airports in DCS including the tower and ILS frequencies. Couldn't find a complete list...

Thanks for your answers. I got it working. Just removed the sensor from the top of the monitor and put it on the desk below the monitor. Now tracking is fine for me.

Hi! I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I switched to A/G mode, programmed my bombs in the Store screen (left display), switched to A/A mode with radar (right display) and then returned to A/G mode and Store screen (left display). Now it wasn't possible to select any bombs. After some minutes of wild clicking through submenus it was possible to select the bombs again. Arm switch was on. User error or bug?

Well, it's mounted on top of the monitor. The calibration software doesn't seem to have a problem.

Hi! I have a strange problem with TrackIR 5. When I'm looking down, the cockpit view moves down a bit, but then turns to the right. In the control software the 3D head movements are looking good. Tried to change sensitivitiy and smoothness. Without any success. Looking up, left and right is working fine. Don't know where the problem is...

Not sure, if it is a general, or VR problem. But in my TGP and MAV view it's nearly impossible to see any targets. Tried narrow + wide view, different contrast, zoom levels... In TGP you sometimes can see targets, but the MAV view only shows a gray wall and with a bit luck you get a lock on something invisible. Any idea if it is a wrong setting, or a general VR problem?

I'd love to have the possibility to walk around my plane, do a preflight check. This would add more immersion. A visible ground crew reloading/changing weapons or refuelling the plane would also be nice.

After some minutes of gameplay the blue VR crosshair turns into a yellow strange undefinable something. That makes it very hard to focus small buttons.

Hi! I just had my first sessions with Oculus CV1. The cockpit view is awesome. But there was another plane about 50 meters asway from me. It looked terribly blurry. Is there a way to get more details on distant objects? I tried to increase rhe pixel density to 2.5, but it didn't help a lot.
