Bumpudy bump. AlphaJuliet, can you get this into your list of known bugs?

Right console design mostly complete. Not sure about the structure of it but the panel design is done and bar any spelling mistakes should be ready to engrave too.

Bit of a necro, but this is still an issue. MPCD exports work fine apart from HUD mode where the hud symbology is burred. Changing the brightness of the HUD changes nothing

or mine may be too big...

ODU finished and working in game. Had to use 14seg displays and make my own 5 digit units as i couldnt find anything similar to the dot matrix style that's actually used .. but it matches my UFC and works so I'm happy.

These ones aren't final as i can't backlight them, but i 3d print them white, spray them grey and then use the laser to etch the lettering on. Same way i etch the panel itself. Comes out really well and can be backlit too if made from something translucent

I use brass standoffs and m3 nuts&bolts. Requires some forward planning to build them in without causing spacing issues but they work well. Random ODU mockup to show what i mean. The brass standoffs sit between the pcbs and the other bits, then i just put a screw through the whole lot and it secures them togther. Then a nut on the other side if needs be, like in this image the nut would be on the back side of the pcb where the standoffs stick through. Hopefully that makes sense!

Hello all For the sake of keeping anyone interested up to date on my terribly slow progress I thought I'd share some pictures of what I have managed so far. I'll try to make this a bit more interesting over the coming eons, but for now here's a small photo dump. If you want to know anything just shout and I'll do my best to keep this going. Also anyone else blindly diving into a similar pool of dispair check out the OpenHarrier group on facebook, me and a few others post there too!

Here's what i managed with normal tactile switches, made the pcb on the cnc and all wired up to an arduino Edit: attached another pic of the switches and pcb to give a better idea of what i mean (ignore the messy wires haha)

Had a look for the group on FB but had no luck. It may be my inability to use facebook, but maybe it's private atm?

You get anywhere with this? Just got my cnc dialled in and have made some PCB's for my first pass at the MFD's and would be cool to join in with anyone else designing a pit!

Have your flight path pointing at some terrain. Confused me too.
