Guys I know what the problem is. Like a user suggested here, when I turn my head, my mouse cursor hits my OS instead of the game, that's why DCS goes out of focus.. I can not for the life of me fix it. I tried fullscreen, windowed, confine cursor to game window etc.. Still no luck.. Any other ideas?

Yes that was my immediate guess too. And I activated that setting, but it didn't help. That's super strange.

I mean that Joystick and Throttle stops working. Game goes out of focus.. Haven't been able to solve it yet. It's super annoying. Tried running repair on the game but I still have this issue.

That's not my main issue, but no. Not taking the batteries of my controller every time I want to play :) big issue is that I am unable to play dcs in VR now because the sim goes out of focus all the time.

After the new update that came a while back, I haven't been able to gaze-control my cockpit any more.. Every time I turn my head more than 45 - 90 degree, the game stops giving input.. My joystick and throttle stops working, and I have to pause the game, go out to Oculus Home and re-focus DCS again... I have confined the mouse cursor to DCS window.. I have tried both fullscreen and windowed mode, but nothing helps. Please help me out with this issue. Also, is it possible to remove that annoying and useless touch-controller hand floating in the air in front of me?

Hello folks! I'm playing DCS in VR only, and in my opinion I think it's a little bit dark, and it gets worse with HDR active, so I'm leaving it off.. Are there any .cfg settings that I can adjust to edit the exposure and brightness within this sim?

Hmm that's strange. Because I only have this issue in the Huey. My best guess is that it is made with sloppy animations by default choice, but I was posting this thread in the hopes that it was not.. Usually not so noticeable for monitor users, but I'm using VR, so I see it pretty good.

In Huey, rudder, cyclic and collective are stuttery in their animations. Was just wondering if it's possible to make the animations smoother? I'm the kind of guy that gets annoyed by things like that :)

Hey! Can this be assigned to a joystick button? I want to be able to have the info sometimes, in VR, and then stow it away after seeing it.

Good question. And no nothing happens when I press HOME button. But I have checked the config.. Under cyclic it says "start engine" and it's automatically assigned to HOME.. However, it doesn't react.. It's strange.

Thanks guys. Yeah sorry posted it the wrong place. I tried mapping the start engine button under cyclic option, but that failed too.. It's strange. Same as earlyer, no result

So, I've tried several different guides online, followed the manual and all of that, but my Huey will NOT start. I have no idea why! Nothing happens when I click the starter ignition button on the throttle.. I tried DCS Stable version and Alpha version. Same error on both of them. Tried missions and I've tried self-generated missions.. It's all the same.. Cold dark will not work.. I've recorded a video that shows rougly what I am doing.. By the way, before I go ahead and learn the advanced stuff.. There are some "easy stuff" I need to understand first.. For example, NUM5 always resets my VR headset view.. But when I map it to my joystick, it doesn't work.. I want this to be a universal setting, so that when I change aircraft, the BASIC settings goes with it.. Is there a way of doing that? And, can you map gaze view click/drag/rightclick etc to your joystick? So I don't have to use the mouse always?

I lack understanding of even the most basic things.. I have tried many aircrafts, the free default SU75 or what it was called, I bought a Huey and a Spitfire now for example, and I tried to map weapons to them. But never once am I able to fire a weapon when pressing the fire button. And then there is the Huey startup procedure. Tried to follow youtube guides, but nothing happens when I press the cyclic start button, after seemingly doing all the things I need to in the correct order.. Trying to play through the new Huey missin that came out, and there are no guides in the game. I did manage to close the door though!! Furthermore I feel that I am using immensely alot of time remapping buttons for every aircraft. It takes forever to remove the automatic mapped ones, and then remap new ones.. Lastly, I bought the Nevada map on steam, but I can't find it anywhere in the sim.. Do I press instant action? campaign? All I can find is the default caucasus map

With the new Asynchronous Spacewarp, I can now run DCS at 1.8 pixel density and extreme graphic setting without a sweat! It's magic!

Actually a lot more object rendered at once than what I've seen of DCS so far.. As soon as just a few buildings and complexities begin to build up in DCS, frames drops drastically.. These iRacing tracks are made very detailed outside of the track aswell, because of live competition and stuff.. DCS really doesn't have that many object at once in it's lod radius when playing.. At least it should have been smooth on medium at least.. That's just what I've seen so far though.. I don't have a lot of experience with DCS

Thank you thank you! I will definitely try these settings! But are ED going to improve framerate at all? I can't ever imagine to play this sim without my VR headset.. car games like iRacing, I can run it with high graphics and x2.0 pixel density without problem, and that with a full grid.. I would imagine that a sim like DCS would be able to acheive the same performance.. I really hope they improve this in the near future.
