  1. MAXsenna's post in Screen resolution was marked as the answer
Valid or not valid. I disagree to some extent, because there already is a valid solution. Either you save the two different resolutions as two of the different presets that are already available. While what you really want are two different monitor files which you can switch between, and can be chosen in the Launcher.

  2. MAXsenna's post in DCS Updater Error was marked as the answer
Just copy the exe over. They're identical. When did you last update?
If the Updater is corrupted, you can download the latest one from the ED website, and then do a repair. That should get you all set.
Now, why did the exe disappear? Did your Anti-Virus solution snatch it?

  3. MAXsenna's post in Is the update automatic for owners? was marked as the answer
    It's a paid upgrade.
  4. MAXsenna's post in F10 communications menu in flight? was marked as the answer
Yes, the backslash keybind, "\" is for the "Communications Menu" which is primarily used for Easy Comms and FC level modules. In FF modules Easy Comms will be depricated down line, hence why it only works on ground to simulate the ground crew. In FF modules you must use the PTT keybind. For single PTT/single radio modules, it's usually RAlt+\.
    Cheers!

@Zapper3535 Hi, if you start the game with Skatezilla's launcher, you need to turn off Multithreading or DCS crashes on start. That's your issue.
    Cheers!

  7. MAXsenna's post in No crew was marked as the answer
On the Stennis, yes. It will be fixed later. It has to do with only one Stennis in the game now.
  8. MAXsenna's post in No radio context menu was marked as the answer
Backslash "\" like I wrote, (and you in the OP), not Forward slash "/".

The "Communication Menu" should not be used in FF modules anymore. It used to with Easy Comms on. If that doesn't anymore, it's for the better. 😉

  9. MAXsenna's post in F-15C it disappeared was marked as the answer
Double check it didn't become disabled in the Module Manager for some reason?

Another tip though. It's always quicker to perform a full repair instead of re-installing the whole game.

  10. MAXsenna's post in Abris displays wrong End-of-Route Point when Helicopter Pad is selected as landing location was marked as the answer
It's a fault with the Syria map. ALL helipads are named "H".
@f-18hornet Please make UGRA priorities and fix this. Maybe even ED could consider making heli pads non airfields. Could fix a flaw with Nellis too, where the helipad is useless with certain functions. Like ATC.
  11. MAXsenna's post in Help Needed: Editing the Saved Games Folder Location for DCS was marked as the answer
To my knowledge that should be impossible, how would DCS know you did this? Unless, you actually did use symlinks. Saved Games is a Windows System folder. Can't be moved around in any other way. (Apart from doing it via the Registry, which is the same thing).
I've seen users have messes up the location of the Saved Games several time. I have a feeling it happens because it's relocated to a root drive, and not to a folder. Which maybe your case.
You don't won't either K or J to be your Saved Games folder. You want to have Saved Games be a foldee on those drives.
You moved the target location, while it didn't delete the folder, only moved it's contents.
There are easy ways to reset the Saved Games location. Don't remember what command to use, but a quick Google search gives me this. Guess what game was the first hit...
    https://www.reddit.com/r/hoggit/s/2MhNkpKuPh
I suggest you follow the advice and reset it to original, and then move it to J:\Saved Games (make a folder), and not the root of J:\ 😉
Or to be honest. You could leave Saved Games in C:\Users while using symlinks to put the DCS files anywhere. That's what I do with the various "large" folders, like mods, liveries etc. that take up space.
    Cheers!
  12. MAXsenna's post in Stop wingmen spamming enemy position was marked as the answer
Yeah, the forum search leaves a lot to be desired. Been mentioned many times lately actually, so you're absolutely not alone! There is some setting in ME that can shut them up, while the report of a group as a whole is an excellent idea! 👍🏻
  13. MAXsenna's post in Do Player Stats Remain if a Module is Uninstalled? Also... Cloud-saved Stats? was marked as the answer
Yes, the Updater, (which does all of the installation/repairs), do not touch Saved Games. Not sure if you see the entries on the Logbook for modules that are not installed currently, but the stats are not removed.
BTW: It's not a new feature. The module manager in the game does the same. It's just even more convenient to be able to use the Launcher. Can even be done by command line.

  15. MAXsenna's post in [DCS issue] Comms in MP, don't know if this is reported was marked as the answer
Several places in several modules. It's a DCS MP thing. Not HB nor other 3rd parties.

  16. MAXsenna's post in My Planes not showing up for selection in the Mission Builder was marked as the answer
In the Mission Editor. On the bar in the bottom of the screen. Click the clock icon to disable/enable the historical filter. (Or set the relevant date of the mission I assume).

You naughty boy! Are you aware of the fine you'll be dealt destroying parts of the Seven Wonders of the World?
Anyway, it's not a bug. They don't have a collision/destruction model. Make a wish in the Wishlist thread.

  18. MAXsenna's post in Any way to set ATC/Carrier comms to receive only? was marked as the answer
If you have VoiceAttack. Get VAICOM, it's free. Then you can easily find out for yourself. Or join the VAICOM Discord, and ask @PeneCruz he can probably tell you how to do it.

  19. MAXsenna's post in Module F-4E not autrorised and will be disabled was marked as the answer
What Anti-Virus solution do you use? It has probably quarantined/removed some a file. Best way is just to exclude the DCS installation folders and Saved Games. And then do a repair to get the file back.
To be clear, it's a false positive and not a virus. Numerous threads on this already had you Googled it.
    Cheers!

  20. MAXsenna's post in 3rd party helicopters was marked as the answer
The UH-60L is a community module and not made by a 3rd party. You will find all the relevant threads in the Mods, as in modification, section of the forum. Or on the relevant Discords.

  21. MAXsenna's post in So what does FC 2024 include ? was marked as the answer
Yes. Let's say 4GB, as I couldn't locate where the J-11 is, while it might only be a cockpit livery that doesn't really take up space, and comes with the Chinese Assets Pack, which already have installed in any case. And as you say, you have plenty of space for that.
The Stennis is the same one as in the Super Carrier DLC, just without the extras, like comms, crew and stations. The old Kuznetsov has not been updated with better graphics. If you do get the SC down the line, (50% during sales I believe). That's the upgrade you will get.
Just to completely clarify. All modules can be used on any map. So one can fly jets and helicopters on the WWII maps, and warbirds on modern maps. This also goes for every thing that is included in the asset packs.
As for the NS430 GPS thingy, not sure if that can be used in the warbirds. Never tried. And of course, the 3D add ons needs their respective module, like for the Gazelle and Mi-8.
Apart from this, the only DLCs that might require other modules are campaigns. And those requirements are listed on the store page, and are the modules the campaign needs, the map and maybe the WWII Asset Pack. If no map is listed, it will, (probably), use the Caucasus map. Only campaign that don't use a DLC map, is the Reflected "Paradise Lost" campaign, which uses the Marianas. It's excellent by the way! 👍🏻

  23. MAXsenna's post in Gunners Control Panel - How to Amend was marked as the answer
Seems from another post you resolved this?
Well, for other users. These are the commands for the gunners. Unfortunately, you have to cycle through the settings.
These are old relics from the Huey/Mi-8. I so wish ED would give us direct commands, so we more easily could just give the orders directly with eg. VoiceAttack etc.

You can do this manually now. In the end of the article is a link to a graphical tool.

If you use a log viewer, you can open the DCS.log and see if it's actually hanging, or just compiling shaders or other stuff.
