Let's say I have the latest ver of DCS world and  3 or 4 extra maps .

it seems to say you will get 11 A/C  .. but what map does it come with ? or is it using the maps I already have ?  the Video shows an aircraft carrier, is the carrier included with FC 2024 ?or a separate purchase ?   also says 500 + GB free space required , does this include the already installed DCS World download ?  or is FC 2024  a full 500+ GB on its own?

last ??  can FC 2024 be installed on a separate SSD as DCS world but on same computer ? === Thanks

These are the FC2024 modules. You get 9, (Well the MiG-29 have multiple versions), + the J-11. And the footprint is 3.87GB. (I squashed them down to 2.45GB with the texture optimization script).
You don't get any maps. The Stennis and old Kuznetsov carriers are already included in the game.

You can "move" any folder in DCS to anywhere manually with symlinks. DCS will NOT help you with that.

Link to "GUI" at the end of the article.

OK thanks for the info -- just to completely understand-- so the entire FC 2024 install will only take up 3.87 GB of ssd space + or -  and i can use the A/C on any map i own .  and the carriers are usable ?   is this correct ?

if so i can just fit  3.87 gb to the same ssd as DCS World  I have plenty of space for that and wont need to use another SSD .

Yes. Let's say 4GB, as I couldn't locate where the J-11 is, while it might only be a cockpit livery that doesn't really take up space, and comes with the Chinese Assets Pack, which already have installed in any case. And as you say, you have plenty of space for that.

The Stennis is the same one as in the Super Carrier DLC, just without the extras, like comms, crew and stations. The old Kuznetsov has not been updated with better graphics. If you do get the SC down the line, (50% during sales I believe). That's the upgrade you will get.

Just to completely clarify. All modules can be used on any map. So one can fly jets and helicopters on the WWII maps, and warbirds on modern maps. This also goes for every thing that is included in the asset packs.

As for the NS430 GPS thingy, not sure if that can be used in the warbirds. Never tried. And of course, the 3D add ons needs their respective module, like for the Gazelle and Mi-8.

Apart from this, the only DLCs that might require other modules are campaigns. And those requirements are listed on the store page, and are the modules the campaign needs, the map and maybe the WWII Asset Pack. If no map is listed, it will, (probably), use the Caucasus map. Only campaign that don't use a DLC map, is the Reflected "Paradise Lost" campaign, which uses the Marianas. It's excellent by the way! 👍🏻

Afaik it shares module files with Su-27.

Yes, just the plain overlay, no 3D implementation. Here's the list from 2022:
