  1. So if I understand you right it can be slaved to the pod however the mav's seeker must still be able to attain a lock?

Yes. How do you think it would track once the missile has left the rail? Mavs are not telepathic :)

  2. In direct answer to your question, Google A10C ordinance loadout - at this stage if the real bird can carry it, there's a pretty good chance the Virtual Bird will too :)

Sorry to be so impertinent and correct you :), but it rather is like "if the particular version of the A-10C that is modelled has it in it's arsenal of weapons actually being used in combat (no experimental stuff that was tried but never really made it into service), then it will most likely show up in DCSW". Just to avoid any confusion. ;)

Oh, and when in doubt, be careful with internet sources, after all, there's people claiming the A-10 can carry HARMs. :D

  3. i like to know about the flight model. how does it compare to the Su25t (YES THEY ARE DIFFFERENT aircraft), but playing flaming cliffs.. the Su25t was a joy to fly because it feel like you where flying something... i mean how did A-10 pilots using the A-10 desktop training simulator feel as compared to its real life counterpart, in terms of the feel of flying? and then hence how is DCS A-10C warthog with its flight model..

The DTS was merely a procedural trainer to familiarize A pilots with the C cockpit. Since flight behaviour of A and C is virtually the same, there was no need for ED to implement that. This and most of the systems that the A and C have in common have to be modeled for the consumer version only. Therefore these pilots won't be able to comment on the DCS flight model.

Considering the positive response on the BS flight model however, i'm sure you will be pleased with what ED are pulling off. After all, subject matter experts are involved in development and some of the tester staff have a fair bit of understanding of aerodynamics, too (let alone the developers ;)).

  4. I stumbled upon this video. An amazing little fighter :weight_lift_2:
