electronics First test of the electronics today, it went well. USB connection, buttons, potentiometers, axis and rotary's all working. Just working on illumination now. I will have some pics\movies soon.

The clear use is just for testing, I have more of that. The finished buttons will be made of 60% opal white. The finished circuit board will use illuminated tactile switches. Thanks for the feedback, its always welcomed.

Button Test The image below is just a test of the template for the buttons. They are only painted on the top and made from clear, hence the shabby look but the template works good, needs a few little tweaks but not far. FUNC button a little tight.

I am planning on making the button tops myself. Interesting design, has got me curious. I there something I have missed? Is it not accurate? It is from photos. Would welcome your feedback.

Hi I currently running a thread in home cockpits, I am offering accurate or custom panel making in Acrylic/Plexiglass. Please PM me if you want to chat. A small selection of the panels I have sold already, these are before edge painting

I am making the top correct but not a lever, If people want a self contained device it will be on 2 slider switches, if they want the lever they will only want the panels anyway. Back lighting is the easy bit. this issue is due to countersinking the spacer, sometimes the wording is so close to the edge of an hole countersinking doesn't work as it makes a weak spot. I have tested for light bleeding and I cant see any coming through at all. 2 layers of primer and 2 of enamel finish coat stop all the light. Image below to explain.

USB devices Not quite there yet but heres a quick pic of what they will look like. The aim is to create self contained devices that just plugs into USB. The screws need changing and the fixings to the box are not done yet, but were getting there.

Thanks, standard 12mm toggle switches cover most circumstances, there are exceptions though. As for building your cockpit, their are far better experienced and knowledgeable people on here than me. Regards

Yes that is the plan, my electronics chap is working on just that. I am not promising it will be available soon but we are working towards it. To be honest I will produce all the devices how I would want them myself, reliable, sturdy and easy to use. That said I know that alot of people like to produce the devices themselves and just require the panels. I intend to produce items from single top panels to top/spacer/clear panel set or an entire device. This will take time on the electronics front but I am happy with the intial work of producing panels for people like myself who enjoy the hobby.
