  1. Hi all, In the mission editor preferences, I click the Enforce option and set Civilian Traffic to None. The setting does not "stick" it always returns to high. I think I'm doing it correctly, but I could be doing something wrong and not be aware of it...
  2. I really hope so! I have tried attacking the civilian traffic trains around Caen and have been unable to hurt them with anything. Tried the P-51, F5, Mirage, Spitfire. Not a scratch. They seem indestructible. I know that civilian traffic in the other maps like trucks can be destroyed. Either way, keep up the good work ED!
  3. Yes please! I think it would be very cool to build fighter sweep missions against trains. I'm looking forward to giving the trains a hard time with the P-51 and Spitfire like that iconic footage from the war. Either way, thanks for all the awesome work. Can't wait for this map. :pilotfly:

    Prepare Mission

Thanks MadDog. I'll fool with it over the weekend.

    Prepare Mission

Tried searching and found nothing, so I wanted to ask... I tried to use the Prepare Mission feature in Mission Builder to set up radios and cockpit lighting for a single player mission I'm working on and it starts the mission and allows me to make changes but offers no option to save the changes and appears just as a default setup when I fly the mission. Am I missing something? My guess is that this is not implemented yet or I'm doing it wrong. I appreciate any help.
  6. Ok, as expected, it was me. Chuck's Mirage guide *is* awesome. Required reading for anyone trying to learn the Mirage. It turns out that I was not testing the AP or FBW systems correctly. I didn't realize you had to wait for the green light. A little knowledge goes a long way. Definitely NOT a bug. Thanks for all the help guys!
  7. So, thanks for the replies, I've been sick so I haven't had a lot of time to reply. I just went through the P.87 sequence, tested FBW, AP, Anti Skid, Becs, all switch covers closed, closed the cover over the start button and moved the switch back (starting fuel pump off), disconnected ground power, disengage parking brake....and I still have the DECOL light. The only discussion I've found in the manual is page 53 where it lists the causes for the light. Possible causes that I don't understand how to fix are: aircraft is not trimmed for takeoff emergency trim selected ANEMO switch is in the off position I have not changed any trim settings which would eliminate the first two (?). No idea what ANEMO means and a search of the manual returns no results other than the reference on page 53. This is why I'm confused. Thanks for any help. And BTW, I love the Mirage.

    Radio Bug?

Ah...the old On Off situation. That seems to be the issue. I've been sick and have not had a lot of time to fly since the post, hence the slow reply. For the record, I did think of this, but could figure out what controlled it. Thanks for the help.
  9. I'm not sure if this is a bug or that I'm missing something as I'm new to all this... When I follow the startup sequence as described in the first training mission, I always end up with the red DECOL warning light on. No way to make it go out, that I found, so I just go and it goes off when I'm in the air. If I'm missing something, please advise. Thx.

    HSI Bug?

When trying to set an offset from a waypoint using the HSI VAD knob (TACAN offset point), no matter which way you turn this know the value increases. There is no way to decrease the value if you overshoot. Same behavior when setting Theta or Rho.

    Radio Bug?

Note that this happens when I select takeoff from ramp in a brand new mission. I tested take from parking hot and everything works as it should and I was able to contact ATC. Also, the frequency display works correctly and shows the proper frequency.
  12. A couple things have changed since the latest update... I can't contact ATC at Vaziani 140.00 with either preset 13 or the manual selection of the frequency on the V/UHF radio. And the frequency display on the top left of the panel shows all dashes no matter what I do. This is with easy communications turned off.
  13. Beat me to it. Yes an F8. And / Or for ground pounding fun it's little brother, the A7. Either way, thanks for all the good work.
