RvE Lockon Realism Mod Release Candidate 4 (Public Beta)
Case replied to RvEYoda's topic in DCS Modding
That problem will be as good as unfixable through LUA scripts. The LRM mod has to guess whether or not you have a launch authorization, and that will depend on range, aspect, maybe even the surrounding temperatures for all we know. Unless we get to actual code that is used in LockOn to say whether you are authorized or not, the LRM mod has to guess and will guess wrong sometimes. As a result, people won't like it and will go fly elsewhere. -
RvE Lockon Realism Mod Release Candidate 4 (Public Beta)
Case replied to RvEYoda's topic in DCS Modding
No, what needs to be fixed are the unrealistic seekers of some of the missiles. If the AIM-120, R-77 and R-27ET wouldn't pick up targets as they do now, firing missiles without a lock would just be wasting them. -
Man oh man... feels like they are releasing Black Shark all over again! Well done 3GO!

Yet another birthday!? A very happy birthday Boberro! :yay:

Thank god it works! It'll take a good 3 minutes to refuel an empty Frog...

A very happy birthday! :yay:

To refuel you have to keep both the control and the r button pressed until the aircraft has been fully refuelled. You can open the chat window with control m. If you combine these, you can refuel without having to keep buttons pressed. So keep control and r pressed to start refuelling, then press the m button to open the chat window, and then release all keys. Refuelling should continue until the tanks are full.

Nice! Is the stick located between your legs or on the right side of the chair? Hard to see it on the picture.

The F-15 IFF from the RvE LRM mod has been installed and is working. ACMIs through Tacview should still be recorded, but if they do not, update to the latest version of Tacview: http://lomac.strasoftware.com/tacview-en.php Should ACMIs still not record, let us know.

Thanks MoGas! Remember that the Aces page only shows pilots with a K/D ratio equal or larger than 1. Getting this in the MiG-29A against Su-27's, 33's, MiG-29S's and F-15C's might be a challenge :smilewink:

We have added a new page showing the Ace pilots for each aircraft. http://www.51st.org/stats/aces.php

Question for vanilla su25 nav mode
Case replied to ataribaby's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Like all Russian planes, there are three NAV modes, enroute, return and landing. You can cycle these modes with the '1' key. Inside the enroute made, you can cycle waypoints with the '~' key and in return and landing you cycle airfields with the '~' key. If you cycle through the NAV modes in the Su-25, you will sometimes see red bars on the ADI (showing pitch and roll). If you have those red bars, the next NAV mode will be the enroute mode and it will be set to waypoint 1. You can then cycle to the next waypoint by counting the number of waypoints you cycle. Cycling through airbases in the return or landing modes is more difficult. For this to work, you need to know which airbase was selected by default. Each airbase has a number and you will cycle through these in order. There are (if I recall correctly, 21 airbases). To cycle to a specific airbase, you have to count each cycle you make until you get to the number corresponding to that airbase. For example, if the return point was set to Kerch (number 7) and you want to set it to Kershones (number 1), you have to cycle and count from 7 to 21 and then the next airbase will be Kershones. To help you find airbase numbers, you can use the excellent kneepad maps from 121st_Lys; find them at LockOn Files. -
Especially for the hard core lone wolf pilots we've made a special page for them: Lone Wolf Stats These last couple of evenings have seen incredible teamwork from squadrons like =SE=, =2IAE= and =4c= and hence the regular air-to-air stats board is dominated by pilots from these squadrons. On the Lone Wolf Stats you can compare your skill with that of other lone wolves.

I made a mission where I had an AI Su-25 drop illumination bombs over a specified area. The task of the Su-25 was set to AFAC and it was loaded with 8 SAB-100 illumination bombs. On the second waypoint a target of category point and 1000m radius was added.

12 Tu-95's + 6 Tu-160's vs 14 F-15's + 4 F-22's!?!
Case replied to Case's topic in Military and Aviation
Apparently the info on wikipedia was incorrect. It now talks about 2 Tu-95's being intercepted by 4 F-15's. But more importantly, it provides a source for the information: http://en.rian.ru/russia/20090128/119842464.html -

Yes, I can't find anything that confirms this spectacular story... may be some eager writer on Wikipedia...
