  1. Actually Wolf, I totally agree with you... Getting a touch of motion sickness is actually a good thing :D
  2. Perhaps a mod would do the trick? If you were to install a mod that would send the required user attribute to the server then your server could in turn interrogate that parameter when a pilot joins. Similar to the way that some servers check supported versions and such. Simply asking your guest pilots to install a VR verification mod might be enough... then code the appropriate lua file (if there is one) to send the fact that a pilot was using VR to the host server. The idea of needing to verify via twitch would likely work, but the effort from the pilots and administrators would likely deter anyone from joining. -Cru
  3. I think a lot of pilots have posted good responses here, nevertheless, I thought I'd share my experience. Sadly, I have an inner ear issue with my right ear that gives me bouts of vertigo and I easily get dizzy. So, ya, for me, I was a little concerned that I wouldn't be able to handle it. I've been flying in VR for only 3 months now and I'm happy to say that I have almost no dizziness whatsoever. So, I'm confident that you will indeed get over it and faster than you think. I can't imagine that Dramamine or ginger would do anything, because those are specifically targeting the ears and effecting the connection from actual motion to 'not seeing motion'. This is the opposite.. your ears are not feeling motion, but you are seeing it. So, I don't see how 'deadening' the responses from the motion detection in your ears could help at all. Ok, last comment on this, which I find really strange; The only motion issue I ever experience is when I'm taxiing and my plane comes to a stop... that dip you get in the front gear, or in a car... That still gets me every time, I still have an issue with my body not feeling the stopping motion. So ya, loops, rolls, etc... not an issue; if I can get over it with my bad ear... anyone can
  4. For what its worth, I believe the default for viewing FPS is ctrl-pause.
  5. Thanks, I'll give it a try. -Cru
  6. Hello Pilots, This is my first post in the forum and I hope I don't sound too stupid, but here it goes! I've run through the tutorial, read a bunch of guides and such, searched the forum and google. Perhaps I'm searching for the wrong thing. Here is the question... Let's say you hit the acquisition button by mistake... your radar goes into the narrow sweep pattern. How do you get it to return to the original broad sweep? Hopefully that is clear... basically, is there a way to disable acquisition mode? Cheers and thanks, -Cru
