  1. Have not tried it yet but I will next week

A question, if you use a button to scroll to the next tab, does it circle back to the first if you press next tab when you are at the last? Or do you need another button for previous tab? If you dont want to use voice.

Im asking because Im thinking of how I can squeeze this in on my already quite full VR buttonbox.

    It is continuous.

  2.

Is it that they won't copy to the clipboard, or won't paste into VA? TO test, open notepad and try pasting the contents there after clicking Finish. If they paste there, then try copying them from there and pasting into the VA profile. This worked for me the one time I encountered this issue

To confirm. It will not copy. Already tried the Notepad. The clipboard is empty. Tried it several times but no luck.

  3. Odd, it won't let me use the move through the extension pages using the standard keys

I figured it out. Page 46 tells you how to bind a key/button to the next/previous tabs on the extension kneeboard. I mistakenly bound these functions to my normal kneeboard next/previous page buttons, and they conflicted. I can now cycle properly.

  4.

Not for me. I only go back and forth through the extensions pages.

Ahh haaaaa, do not bind the same buttons you use to go next/previous page (for your normal kneeboard) to the Advanced option: keyboard/joystick control binds for next/previous tab. Kneeboard pages, and Kneeboard extension tabs are two different things.

I take it back. This is awesome.

  5. @Hollywood_315 This interactive kneeboard (which is very good) has hijacked the kneeboard so that I cannot have my own kneeboard sheets anymore. I have several cribsheets that I refer to all the time, such as start up procedures, etc.

    1) Is there a way to stop the kneeboard extension fully. To allow me to go back to seeing my own kneeboard pages.

    2) Is there a way to integrate the extension with my own kneeboard pages.

  6.

Today:) - new version is available for manual download and install from the Vaicom website. You will need to purchase the Kneeboard Extension licence to use the interactive kneeboard. I can confirm that the new version works with A10C II HAWG and TUSK callsigns, so assume the other pig ones will work as well

You don't realise what you've got until it's gone. I've missed Vaicom.

  7. I've only recently become aware that there is a select frequency command in Vaicom. Note - Not the select ATC frequency function.

Is it supposed to work in the A10C I/II?

I have Easy comms set to off, and have Vaicom settings ticked to work in EC off. But it doesn't seem to work.

Is this not designed to work for the A10C?

    The command I'm talking about is the SELECT [AM/FM] <number> <number> <number> decimal <number> <number>

  8. What doesn't work for you?

I have NEVER EVER uninstalled VAICOM. It's just a bunch of files under Voice Attack. No installation routine and reg settings like other apps and progs. I usually need to reset the Lua after a repair after a DCS update, (but not this last hotfix).

If you have an issue with blinking menus, it's because of the files needed for VAICOM in the install directory. VAICOM changes these, and need to update them after a repair (and update it seems). That's why you need to reset the Lua. Because they are Lua files.

A-10C II comms doesn't work for me either, and Hollywood will fix this. It does talk with the module though, because "select Batumi" or other airfield changes the radio channel. Test it!

VAICOM works fine for me in every other module (haven't tested the Huey though and some users have reported issues there. Might be the same issue, and they did something with the Huey lately. Gunner AI you know).

So, I would recommend you test it in another module. If it works there, VAICOM is fine! But we need an update for VAICOM. This has happened with other new modules as well, so I'm not worried. A-10C II is regarded as a completely new module in some ways. So I guess that's the reason.

    Cheers!

I'm not sure what you are getting at. It sounds like you are having a go at me because you think I am complaining.

I am raising an issue so that Hollywood knows it exists and therefore will know that it is something that needs fixing. Of course the A10C II is new, and Vaicom in it's current state isn't programmed for it. How will he know if we don't tell him. Deleting the LUA does not fix this problem.

My point is that at this moment in time, if Vaicom is running in Voiceattack, you cannot use the A10C II module without the comms problem. And so, I had to uninstall / delete Vaicom so that I could continue to play, because I rely heavily on Voiceattack whilst in VR.

    Cheers!

  9. Yes yes yes. It's doing my head in. I have just uninstalled Vaicom because it has made it unplayable. I've repaired and reset lua files. It keeps repeating itself when you try to fix.

I've tested and tested and tested and it is definitely coming back around to Vaicom unfortunately.

  10. Is VAICOM working correctly for anyone with the new A-10C II? I don't get responses from any AI when using VAICOM.

Instant Action original Cold and Dark A-10C mission:

Get power running and turn on UHF radio. Tune 262.000 for Kobuleti ATC. Use VAICOM to transmit "Kobuleti, request startup". I hear my pilot voice and I hear Kobuleti respond.

Same Cold and Dark Instant Action mission but for A-10C II:

Get power running and turn on UHF radio. Tune 262.000 for Kobuleti ATC. Use VAICOM to transmit "Kobuleti, request startup". No pilot voice and no response from Kobuleti. Use VAICOM to transmit "Kobuleti, Options" and comm menu now shows that the AI silently acknowledged me and the next step is to request taxi to runway.

This happens while tanking as well. I can say "Tanker, approaching for refuel" and I won't hear my pilot speak or the tanker respond but the next comm option changes to ready precontact.

Repaired my open beta install without re-installing VAICOM's lua. Manual Comm menu works as intended. Request, hear pilot voice, hear response.

Deleted config file for VAICOM then reset settings and reinstalled lua to DCS. Back to silence.

    Thanks for your time!

  11. Did this work before? And you have of course checked "use with multiplayer" in the VAICOM settings?

    Cheers!

Yes it worked before the latest Beta update. And MP is ticked. It's strange because I hear my DCS voice talking to the crew and I hear the crew talk back, but I don't hear my DCS voice talking to ATC or ATC talking back, but other players do.

I'm going to have a play around to see how to fix it.

  12. This is what I do after every DCS update. (Like yesterday).

Close DCS. Close VA. Repair DCS. Delete export.lua (I have a working copy with settings for SRS, VAICOM and TacView in that order). Start VA. Close VA. Delete export.lua again. Copy my copy and rename to export.lua Start VA, start DCS.

It's cumbersome, but it works every time!

    Cheers!

I believe that there is a problem at the moment that is not a Vaicom problem. I have had a similar issue. For example, I want to ask ATC for permission to start up. Vaicom hears me but nothing happens, or at least I can't see or hear anything happening. I was on a MP server. Others could hear my comms with ATC, but I couldn't. Vaicom was sending the comms as it should, but DCS wasn't showing me anything.

  13. Hi all, I have just started to venture into the world of multiplayer and SRS. Yesterday I spent a good couple of hours if not more trying to get Vaicom and SRS to work at the same time.

Is there an idiot proof way of setting it up to work flawlessly together ? Between Vaicom and SRS there are dozens of options, and I have no idea what should be on or off.

I only fly in VR and I have the TM Warthog HOTAS.

Yesterday the main problem I had was that the A10C Real keybinds were not set for the HOTAS comms hat, as per Vaicom Pro instructions. Once I programmed the comms hat to the HOTAS, SRS worked. Will this ultimately lead to a conflict with Vaicom.

Plus, the comms menu kept appearing and disappearing ever 5 secs or so.

Is there a definitive guide to setting up Vaicom and SRS to work hand in hand.

    Thanks

  14. Makes it possible to use all TM devices (Throttle, Stick, MFDs...) as 1 device. You can use a button or switch on one device to switch the behavior of one or all the buttons, switches, and axis on all the devices. It's really a powerful set up. There's so much you can do with it.

For example, on the F18, I use the friction lever to operate the Gear UP, Gear Down, Hook Down, Hook Up, and Launch Bar Toggle. All on that little lever.

I use the Trigger for Recenter VR as well as the trigger.

I use it to switch the entire profile from Pilot Seat to RIO Seat when I switch seats. Works like a charm.

Ok. Interesting. I'll have a think about how that could work for me.
