I'm having real issues locating moving convoy targets after JTAC tells me the coordinates and direction of travel. The coordinates never seem to have any targets or roads near them, and also when I try to locate the targets given the direction of travel I can't see any convoys. I'm guessing that the coordinates are a starting point for the convoy but haven't seen anything to back this up. Has anybody got any tips on this subject? Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

Hi, In the A10C, in VR mode I am getting a blank TAD screen in the most zoomed in frame. I can still see any drawn over makers and lines etc. but I cannot see any map. I don't have this problem in 2D. Thanks.

Hi all, Is anybody else getting a deformed mouse cursor in VR. I don't get in in 2D. The cursor looks like 3 pointers next to each other with wavy lines crisscrossing. Gets annoying in flight as the same happens to the mouse cross, it's like having a fly in the cockpit. Ta.

Was I an idiot to buy the Normandy Map?

Was there any need for that line really ?! But yes this is a reality check hence why I'm questioning if I've been naive. And as a novice that all sounds rather daunting. I'm going to chip away with the mustang until I feel the need to move on and progress. It would have been nice to have some WW2 based tutorial missions to get to grips with planes of that era. I've only got A10c experience so far. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk -

I do hope to enjoy this map. Can you recommend any missions for a novice like myself. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk -
All, I have just spent the best part of £50 on the Normandy Map and Assets pack. But I'm not entirely sure why! There doesn't seem to be any kind of missions with it or campaigns. Was I foolish or naive to think it would come with some?

Do you have any other plugins active in VA. It may interfere. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

Tonight I've just figured out rule number 1 for everything. If you're using DCS via Steam, DITCH it for the DCS standalone. Not only is Vaicom working smoothly with standalone but there's lots of other small differences in game. Wingman AI is much better for starters. The Steam version is 2nd rate. Ahhhh, I was hoping it would be this simple @Hollywood_315 but unfortunately the dreaded Alternatives Panel keeps popping up and VA does not register any commands. Is there another way of forcing it to learn my voice for each command. I don't particularly have a strong accent yet it struggles to understand me most of the time for the preset commands.

@Hollywood_315 good call. I'll give it a try later. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

Having problems with Keyword Editor. Can anyone advise? I have always had a major problem with the keyword editor. It does not appear to work as intended despite following the instructions. For instance, I enable the Keyword editor in VA, then enable the MSVR, and select the keyword I want to train. When I the say out loud for example "Abort Inbound", a MSVR pop up window appears with a "Alternatives panel" with various options as to what i thinks I said. Nothing ever registers in the VA window. I'm on the latest VA plugin, but I have always had this problem. Generally I use the default MS voice rec 8.0 UK, but I have tried the US version too as suggested a while back. It makes no difference.

River Raider mission - How would you do it
filthymanc replied to filthymanc's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
When you use the phrase "going to climb", does that pretty much mean staying at high altitude? Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk -

Hi, I'm finally getting to grips with the A10C after many months of dipping in and out of learning. I'm now at the stage where I'm trying to figure out the variety of weapons and dealing with air defence. So I'm having a good go at the River Raider mission and trying various things out, making mistakes, rectifying mistakes, and so on. I'm really quite clumsy at it so I would really value the experience of others so that I can compare and see where I'm going wrong. I'm interested in how experienced pilots would tackle this mission with minimal messing around. Thanks. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

I was having this problem the other week but managed to get it working. Not sure if it was luck or skill. I changed the voice recognition language in Windows to English US (from UK) and also I changed my Saved Games folder from the default C drive to the F drive (which is where I have everything installed, DCS and VA). When I say changed drives I mean properly in the Saved Games folder properties (don't drag and drop!). Good luck. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

Hollywood, not sure if this has been asked before..... This might be a big ask! Not sure if you'll think it's useful. Is it possible to add a function to the plugin where it can sync all of the keybinds to inactive VA commands? This would allow users to set their own voice commands in a more efficient way. I'm not suggesting that Vaicom has voice commands for all functions. Let's say for example I want a VA command for raising the landing gear. At the moment I have created an inactive command ((raise landing gear)) and I have manually set the keybind for it. Then I have set an active voice command, for example "stow the gear" which executes the inactive command. This in itself is not an issue when dealing with a small number of commands. Although it would get very tedious programming all the keybinds. So then if at least Vaicom synced all keybinds to inactive VA commands, a great deal of effort would be taken away from user created voice commands. Hope this makes sense!? GOOdnight, I managed to sort my problem out. Are you on Win10? Do you have DCS installed on a drive that is not the C drive? If so, what drive is you "Saved Games" folder in your windows User folder? If it is on the C drive still try to move it to the same drive as the DCS intalliation. When I say "move", I mean properly through the properties tab of the "Saved Games" folder. I genuinely don't know if this was the problem, but mine is now working.

Hollywood, I've also just realised that I have another problem. I've just watched your YouTube guide. I tried early to use the phrase training tool as you demonstrated. For me it doesn't work as shown. When I activate the trainer and go through the words, nothing comes up on the VA console. Instead, I get MS recognition tool giving out random suggestions for what I've just said. VA doesn't react. Thanks,

I have just purchased the full licence and have the same problem. I have a Steam installation and followed the .lua instruction on page 33. All PTT buttons are good, and VoiceAttack is recognising my commands on the VAICOM profile. When I am trying to call the tower on the ground to request start up, I see that the instruction is carried out fine in VA, but nothing happens in game. If anyone knows what the problem could be please let us know. Thanks.
