TM Boat Switch - A/A & A/G mode select

thanks all, i will try the above suggestion. i also have the rocker switch where you have to go up or down twice in order to cancel which works just fine. i was just wondering if there was away to avoid doing this and having the return to middle as the cancel (getting as lazy as the snowflake generation :~)). i just recently found all the .lua adjustments which has helped immensely with my warthog setup -
was searching the forums and couldn't find an answer. has anyone figured out how to do the below? "I actually like the latter idea and would love to set this up so that moving the Boat Switch FWD engages the A/A Master Mode, returning the Boat Switch to the neutral position sets the Master Mode back to NAV and moving the Boat Switch to AFT would engage the A/G Master Mode. I looked in the DCS controls configuration and unfortunately we don't have mapping options that would allow us to do this with the sim alone and a custom TARGET profile may be needed here. The alternative is to re-select the active A/A or A/G position to return the jet to the NAV Master Mode. Doable but again the OCD in my isn't a huge fan of this workaround" thanks in advance

INS alignment resets when knob placed to NORM from STOR HDG.

so does the stored align now end at "10"? in the old procedure, the count down stopped at 10 in stored. you would then switch it to "norm" and it would continue to 6 (complete align). with the new procedure i can not get it to go beyond 10 and the "align" on the HUD never flashes when complete. am i doing something wrong? -

Has anyone else had this happen? powered up the HMD (JHMCS). at some point it stops working as normal and starts displaying 3 different patterns. it looks like a some sort of test pattern. i then can not get the system to operate again as normal, even after completing a shutdown and restart. this happened once on the ground during pre-flight checks and once during flight. one thing i didnt do was look at the HMD page on the DDI to see if it was replicating. i saw this for the first time the yesterday (before the latest update) and i saw it once today after the newest update. i couldnt find anything in the documentation. did i press a wrong button somewhere or is this a bug? thanks

Hello all and happy holidays, has anyone been able to get the smokewinder to work on the F-16? i have tried the latest version with manual installation and with OvGME and can not get the pods to show up in the selection menu in ME or in game with the ground crew request. thanks in advance

Hello all, is there a work around for the issue of monitor resolution being different from DCS resolution setting? I play around with resolution a bit (both in DCS and native monitor) and whenever the two do not match i have issues with the home screen. when DCS home screen first loads, nothing works, you can not select anything. the mouse has no effect over the home screen links. i fix this by CTL/ALT/DELETE out of DCS and then switch back into DCS, which fixes the issue. this is more of an annoyance but was wondering if there was away to fix this thanks

i am having an interesting issue when engaging autopilot in any mode. most of the time when i engage any mode, nothing happens until i hit the paddle (A/P disengage) a couple of times first. not a big deal but i do sometimes have issues getting it to engage. not sure if this is a bug or an issue with my thrustmaster warthog

i have checked everywhere and can not find an answer to this? apologies if i missed it. on the FPAS page, TCN always shows "TCN 10". is this suppose to be an identifier? I thought that this gives you numbers to the currently selected TCN station. but no matter what TCN i select it always says "10". shouldnt this change to the selected TCN (ie, 74 for stennis) As it stands i dont know if it is giving me correct information for the selected TACAN

thanks all, i will use the recce switch temporarily. my biggest issue was having 2 flashing target squares and not knowing which one was accurate one

thanks all, that was the solution. i just have to make sure that i go back to RWS mode and push the reset button. this doesnt seem to work if you are in TWS (i think because TWS is automatically trying to lock on to something)

lol, good point. i am currently using it in a multiplayer aerobatics play, so dont have that option

thanks guys. i guess my question is... how do i get rid of the target square on the HUD. i have tried: - undesignate switch - changed from TWS to RWS - selecting air to ground mode - turning off DL and the radar - cycle through missile and gun modes no matter what i do i am still have the flashing square on the HUD

I have the JHMCS symbology visible even when i am looking straight forward at the HUD. it doesnt appear to be all of the sybology, just the target square and a couple of other symbols. is this normal? the F-16 seems to represent this better (as far as my knowledge). when you are looking at the HUD, the JHMCS completely disappears. thanks in advance

hello, i am having an issue breaking a radar lock. i am trying to use the undesignate button but it only seems to switch to the next contact. once i lock up a target, i can never get rid of the target square on the HUD. this is the case no matter what mode i switch to. even with the radar turned off, i still have the target square on the HUD. why isnt the undesignate button working. i am sure that i am doing something wrong thanks in advance

want to make sure that EA is aware of this bug. ( do not believe that it is internally fixed) as the launch bar is still behaving incorrectly by pushing down into the pavement -

still an issue. if you are at an airfield and perform a 4 point check on the ramp, the launch bar will actually slightly lift the nose because it is lowering into the pavement. -
thanks pimp. that does look much better. i also hope that it extends far enough behind the boat so that it can be used for line up. (being nit-picky) great job DCS. really looking forward to the mod

Just a quick question, will the wake behind the carrier be updated/fixed? at the moment there is no long wake behind the ship.

Hello, i have been trying to develope a mission and have been having problems with visibility/fog. i am trying to get visibility down to 1/2 or 3/4 of a mile for low vis landing and carrier practice. i have tried different settings but can not get the visibility this low. any ideas on what settings to use in order to get this effect? thanks in advance
