New video, new information. It also seems to be constrained within the type of point.
So, if you have a point that is a control measure on your screen, you cannot pan to any waypoints, hazards or targets. But you CAN pan to other control measures. And likewise, if you have a target on your screen, you cannot pan to any waypoints, hazards, or control measures, but you CAN pan to other targets. And of course if you have no points in your TSD's screen, then you cannot point pan to anything. You're supposed to be able to point pan to any points stored in the memory, but DCS isn't doing that.

If there are no points visible on the MPD screen, then it seems like the TSD loses all touch with where points are located. They cannot be panned to via the point pan. See the video:

I noticed after this latest update I'm getting Fuel Transfer faults on the EUFD when doing a cold start. Haven't been getting those ever before until after the update. The fuel system itself is operating fine, it's just the fault appears with the "deedle deedle", and the caution.
I've had myself and 3 others have this issue. First was myself in the front seat and one buddy in the back seat. He reported he had a transfer fault (I couldn't see it on my EUFD though). Then later we swapped places, and now I had it on my end (though this time he said he had it appear in the CPG now too). At the same time, a buddy soloing in a 2nd Apache flying out with us noted to us that he had a Fuel Transfer fault in his aircraft.
This was on the Syria map, TTI server.
I later flew with another guy in the same aircraft, but this time on Hoggit GAW (Caucasus map). This time we didn't have the Fuel Transfer fault, though he did remark that was the first time today he'd had it not throw the Transfer fault on him during cold start (same as me).
TTI's FAT was 9C. Hoggit GAW's FAT was 3C. Both had our aircraft start under 350ft ASL. -
Still having the issue. Though those initial screenshots are a very extreme example. Most of the time it's just 1 line not several rings, it'll cut through some clouds and then flicker out if I move or just after a few seconds

I hear volumetric lighting was added but there's no graphic option for it that I can see. Scrolled up and down the settings list and I don't see it, unless it's hidden somewhere?

I'm getting this a LOT lately for some reason. Never seen it in my some 6 years with DCS from an unedited .trk until this past week or two. Now most missions online, I can't go through the replay for them. Here's two that give me a Mission Load Fail for some reason

Current contrails run by the old particle system, with a texture on a string of 2D planes. It also has a hard time properly interacting with clouds, as in most cases contrails currently can be partly seen through a cloud. Just asking that contrail effects perhaps use the new volumetric system.
Thanks!

This is something that would be really appreciated. Like who thought that binding the equivalent left mouse button click be the same as pulling aft on the controllers minijoy, and now the like...you know, controller trigger. Like every other game does

Because they trying to make this more like simulator than a quake probably. Making better cons dots/blips/whatever is right way, scaling is screwing a lot of
real life useful andfun practices.Honestly, I'd rather have a scenario where spotting is possible than fly on a full server and have everyone be oblivious to each other. Besides LOD scaling would actually be a more realistic approach to spotting than a 2D black box. A 2D black pixel box isn't going to give you spotting accounting for aircraft color and direction. A plane flying towards you is harder to see, a plane flying perpendicular is a lot easier, a plane perpendicular and banking is easiest. None of this a 2D pixel overlay will tell you.
Funny thing is too the scaling factor doesn't even have to be a lot to be effective. Less is more, too avoid goofy looking visual scenarios but just enough to help everyone spot a little better.

The official line from Wags and 9L has always been that this would interfere with radar RCS calculations, which is not an explanation I buy but that's what they've said for years.
The straight from the horse's mouth answer is that such a solution is "heresy" because spotting in DCS is already excellent and better than real life. If you have a problem with that, you should buy a 4k monitor that is at least 32 inches big, preferably 40. The problem is clearly because of your hardware, and you should just turn on labels and zoom in if you don't want to buy a very large and high resolution monitor.
Lmao that's hilarious. "If you have an issue spotting, it's because you haven't payed enough money on your setup". Classic
I wouldn't buy the LOD scaling thing with RCS though that much, because if true they could very feasibly also just make a counter-scaled variable just to cancel out the effect a big LOD has on RCS.

Quest 3 with link cable. I already voted in the poll but because others are specifying, figured I might too

Hello, I'm pretty late (34 pages late) to this convo, but why hasn't ED tried scaling LODs instead of the simple black 2D pixel method DCS does now? There's other games that already do this, and it works. You also still get to see the color of the plane/vehicle you're looking at (since the pixel dot just makes everything black), and you also get profile detail (because the model shape is better than a square pixel). Plus you can see the contact size change depending if the plane is flying toward/away from you, or perpendicular, or at its largest, perpendicular and in a bank, making the contact very easy to see. Versus the 2 dimensional pixel ED seems so adamant to use.
Use size scaling LODs!-

Hasn't seem to have gotten bumped but I will. It's the lower half of the landing light's "beam" texture. Honestly I'd prefer that beam texture get removed altogether, as you'd only see a light "beam" during dusty or humid conditions. But I'd rather it be completely there, or completely gone. Not have its lower half chopped off lol

Still present today. When I first boosted DCS up after 7 months absence, the first thing I did was try to new suspension and almost immediately I noticed that the wrong main wheels would spin when turning/rotating around a braked wheel (turning on the spot).

No matter what adjustments I make using axis tuning or curves I can’t do anything to improve the braking. I’ve learnt to live with it but they are too sensitive and don’t behave as they used to.
Taxi in the Pony, brake as lightly as you can and try turning. It wants to nose over. I watched someone in a MP server hopping the tailwheel as they were trying to turn a few nights back. It isn’t just my Pony, or my curves etc. and there’s nothing wrong with my crosswinds.
The braking changed at the same time as the suspension was updated. I don’t know if they adjusted the brakes (but I think so) or if they react like they do as a result of the suspension change but they aren’t the same as they were before the update. - I remember it clearly as I was flying the Pony and the Mossie exclusively when they changed them. A few of us were. I had more complaints about it, mostly, everyone else was fine with it.
The rest of the props I fly (all but the I-16) are fine and I like the feel of the suspension overall. I can put up with the brakes on the Pony as they are, I just do my best to avoid using them. I’ve never seen anyone hopping their tailwheel trying to turn the real thing. I’ve seen em doing bullseyes, rolling along sensibly and on taxi plenty of times on both hard or grass strips but can’t say what we have seems right.
While I can't agree on stopping power changing, I do agree that it can "feel" like the stopping power increased. The front shocks are a lot softer now and will compress under stopping the forward momentum, and the tailwheel strut appears to have a lot more range to it as well, extending out sometimes pretty far all while still contacting the ground. Overall both ends making the nose tuck a lot more when braking, so visually it does appear like the brakes have a lot more power now. But if you were to take the pre and post updated suspension Mustangs and from the same co-speed hit them with say 25% brake application on the axis, I feel like the stopping distance would be the same.
But there's only one way to be really sure and tbh I don't feel like reverting to an old version of DCS, especially after I just finally got a 100% new clean install of DCS without any bloat in it-

Fwiw I have enjoyed the new suspension model quite a lot. Aircraft looks a lot better, and actually feels like it has 5 tons of weight to throw around now. Granted I haven't payed attention to it before, but now that it's here, I love it. It has changed how I land though. It's a bit bouncier but still manageable.
As far as braking, it's definitely not more or less sensitive. Braking power is the same as it's always been. -

Cannot click on FCR buttons with the MPD cursor (clickbox isn't lined up)
in Bugs and Problems
Posted
So initially I thought that the FCR elevation UP button was literally unclickable with the cursor on the collective, while elevation DOWN was. I was pretty baffled. But while making recordings, I found that I actually can click on the button, but it's just that the "click box" for the button isn't quite where the arrow is
So yes I made a bit of a clickbait title lol, but hopefully it'll get some attention.
The reason I discovered this is because when using the FCR I'd prefer to use it as HOCAS as possible, meaning I'm using the cursor to bump the radar elevation up and down. I'm in VR, so it's a hassle to grab my mouse, spin it around until I find the yellow cross, and then lean down and click the button. When I could instead just use the cursor on the collective.
Anywhere, here's a video and track showing the issue
