  1. Not appalled by your strange attitude towards basic vocabulary, I mean, you do realize that Naval Officers are evaluated on communication skill and writing ability? I’m astonished by the general inability here of some to accept and deal with minor adversity. The people here making threats and calling people fanboys ans such, seem very young and or very sheltered. Some say that it is the mindset of a generation used to instant gratification, unchallenging lives and throw away technology. I don’t know and don’t care, but there is no question that a lack of reasonable perspective is evident in these endless release date discussions. It makes them seem small.
  2. No, I’m mostly appalled and annoyed. Do you not normally socialize with articulate, educated people? Good grief, that’s eighth grade vocabulary. I see why you are against reading NATOPS. You can’t.
  3. Banal, generic, boring. Thèse “discussions” are emotional outbursts not commensurate with the situation. When you find yourself lecturing on your right to complain, you are admitting that your complaint is trivial. Make better use of your time.
  4. Great lesson. Parents should give the gifts to someone who deserves them. This isn’t a scandal or travesty. Development is difficult, it’s simply not ready. Deal with it or ask for a refund.
  5. Truth. That’s social media today, isn’t it? Folks with platforms that they haven’t earned holding forth on subjects that they aren’t qualified to judge. It’s all wrapped up in a weird idea of self entitlement. Entertaining at times though.
  6. Classic. Seems a little narrow-minded and judgmental though.
  7. It is the adult way.
  8. Who cares? I don’t live in the gamer world of constantly being outraged over entertainment.
  9. What comms do you want? “We’re working hard, making progress...” “We’re still working hard, making progress...” “We’re working hard, little setback today, still making progress...” It is axiomatic that chronic complainers tend to be unsuccessful. If they are in your business, get rid of them. We call them “Energy Vampires”. Send them to your competition. Do not wait.
  10. It’s fine, and not a significant tactical limitation despite what you may have heard. Really must understand required control inputs vs AOA. It isn’t difficult to learn, the Tomcat provides beautiful feedback. Coordinated controls in normal flight, lateral stick may be a disaster at high alpha, rudder is always your friend. And maybe even opposite stick... You will have a blast learning to really fly.
  11. Nice. Looking forward to it.
  12. Is there an apology in there somewhere?
  13. I’d like to hear what an Eagle builder/owner has to say about it.
  14. It’s dripping with obvious attention to detail and general awesomeness. Why do so many want it now? Every day it gets better. I hope they take their time.
  15. You’ll likely understand about three minutes into your first flight.
  16. The Hornet feels dead and sterile in the air, the Tomcat will be alive and talk to you while you fly it. Hornets are for button pushing computer geeks, Tomcats are for people who like to feel an aircraft respond to their inputs. The former creates mechanical pilots, the latter makes artists.
  17. Watch, when the module comes out (on Tomcat Tuesday of course), there will be people who have never flown an airplane of any kind panning it because they are an online hero in some fictional group. I respect the work of the developers who are dedicated to their craft. Heatblur in particular will get it right.
  18. Tomcat Tuesday. All of your worries will be over.
  19. It isn’t spell check per se, it’s typing errors on tiny on screen keyboards.
  20. I’ll never understand online behavior.
  21. Don’t know about the former, but the latter has happened to a RIO I met during his transition training. His pilot had a heart attack in the groove. They hit the ramp, RIO ejected both from an F4J. Can’t recall if the pilot made it or not. In F14, there are no flight controls in the back seat, no dual control trainers were built, so the only recourse was to eject at some point, where it made the most sense. RIO’s had balls of steel. Hopefully, the sim will revert to “auto-Jester”, or maybe even give the option to kick your incompetent human RIO out and let Jester do the work.
  22. Spell check is humorous on this one. :smilewink: The static, installed thrust was around 17,200-17,800 at SL, but the TF30 picked up 30% more thrust at Mach .90 due to ram effect and the remarkable efficiency of the intake design.
  23. Not “a” Tuesday, it will be “the” Tuesday. :smilewink:
  24. Yes, the A was unrestricted. Have a look at “VMCG”.
