  1. Good to hear, but not altogether surprising. Both the military and civilian companies use simulators for training purposes, for example; the f35 has no two seater trainer, so the pilots go straight to from sim to solo! I dare say that military simulators are a lot more complex than DCS, but probably not as much fun, or quite so cheap!
  2. Cool. I'll give it a try. Thanks for the reply.
  3. Not sure if this belongs here, but I am also not sure whether this is an SRS problem, or a DCS one, either way it is MY problem: Maybe one of you can help: Using srs, if a radio is in both headset speakers there is no problem, but if I set a radio to one ear, either left or right, then that radio mutes all ambient sounds when it first recieves a transmission, and then slowly increases the volume to maximum until the transmission ends, then it returns to normal. Any ideas? (first noticed in UH1 using FM radio in one ear, and UHF in other)
  4. I am hopeless at skinning past changing a badge or two, could some kind soul skin up a Huey in British Army Air Corps Lynx colours "Green and Grey" for myself, and any other who wants it? Thanks in advance. this is a useful resource:https://www.globalaviationresource.com/v2/2015/08/14/military-aviation-army-air-corps-lynx-ah7-retirement-aac-middle-wallop/ The AAC do operate a huey for SAR ops in Brunei, but due to that high viz paint scheme is not the one I am after. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...D_45151684.jpg

  8. After downloading, I notice the rank badges are american, British use "pips" and "crowns", and the unit badge is Royal Air Force, it should be Army Air Corps.

    LUA?

sorted, thanks. got a wee problem with identifying where the BORT numbers in the LUA refer to, but that is for another day. https://jmp.sh/b/HxfQmLBYkbnTihJ8Ol7n <--this is my effort

    LUA?

I notice the files in other skins have a "DIFF" file which appears to be made up of four texture files. When do I combine the modified texture file with the other unmodified files, .png, .bmp, or DDS? ...and why is this not mentioned in any tutorials I have seen?

    LUA?

    Thanks, I'll try your method

    LUA?

I seem to have reached the limit of my skinning knowledge when it comes to the LUA file. I cannot find anywhere that helps me, so I am turning here: I have modified three files from the F/A18 template, they are now .dds files sitting in the appropriate folder on my pc. The problem is that there is no trace of an LUA file in the template package, and I don't know what I am doing if there were one. I have tried modifying LUA files from other downloaded skins, but as I havent a clue what I am doing, I tend to fail. Thanks in advance.
