  1. There is a little trick to determining the coordinates for the 2 viewports. Load the profile in the profile editor and then on the left side, grab the panel>generic and cover the viewport that you need the coordinates for. On the right side, the 4 coordinates that you need should be listed-BUT YOU HAVE TO ADJUST THE COORDINATES FOR YOUR MONITOR SETUP. Use those for your monitor config file and presto, you are all set to go. I neglected to mention that this idea originally was suggested by Slippery_Rat on the SimHq forum. He has some great tutorials on Helios on that forum, but unfortunately, he seems to have ceased publishing his suggestions and tutorials.
  2. Capt Z I got everything working on the new KA-50 profile except the several round gauges on the left side of the main panel. They appear red/empty. I have double checked that I loaded the images in the correct directory and it appears so as everything else works including the new charts. What am I doing wrong?
  3. Capt Z Can the maps in the KA-50 profile be copied over to your F18 or A10 profiles?
  4. Yesterday, I changed the soft springs on the WarBRD base for the hard springs. It was not that difficult after watching the video so if you are concerned about it, I would give it a shot. Just have a needle nose pliers with you and watch the video first. I am using the WH grip and the harder springs are perfect with that grip. My next project is getting up the nerve to try the extra set of cams that came with the base. This appears to be significantly more difficult to do than just changing the springs.
  5. PlainSight I just finished changing the springs this morning when I read your post. For now I think I will just get used to the heavier springs before I consider your post of using the no-center cams. The current cams with the heavier spring seems to have almost no center detente so I am not sure what the other cams will feel like. Do the no-center detente cams still go back to center when the grip is released?
  6. I have the WarBrd base with the warthog grip. I am going to swap the springs that came with the base for the heavier springs. While I am doing that I am considering changing the cams to the extra set that came with the warbrd base. I fly only airplane sims so my question is-how do the extra cams differ from the installed cams? Would the extra cams be appropriate for flight sims?
  7. Problem solved. Thanks.
  8. I am still not getting the icon in the taskbar with the old stable version. What logs do you want and how do I get them?

  10. Just got back into the A10c and noticed that the radios were not tuning to the correct frequncy as the dials would not move in all 3 radios in the profile. I have the radio fix and it worked before. Is it me or did something change?
  11. I agree with Snacko's comments on the taskbar icon not being there
  12. I have the WH grip attached to the WarBRD base and when not running target, everything works fine so there is no hardware issues. However, when I try to use Falcon BMS running a target script, things go crazy. First of all, after I run target, all of the controllers still show up in the Windows app and in the target program plus I now have the virtual controller, Thrustmaster combined. Second, when I try to play BMS, since all of the controllers still appear, the button assignments are screwed up. Third, sometimes after running target, everything works perfectly. I am using the 044F and 0402 codes so that is not the issue. The issue seems to be the failure of Target to get things right when using this combo. Has anyone had similar issues?
  13. THIS IS THE ERROR MESSAGE I RECEIVED-NOTE, I DO NOT HAVE THE F14 MODULE --------------------------- The developer must be a moron because there was an error! 14. Will do so in the morning.
  15. getting massive error messages with latest update. Something to do with the F14 which I do not have.
  16. Snowy55 My Trackir started to work fine so I held off buying the Trackhat. When I do need a replacement, I will be getting the Trackhat as I see nothing on the market that is better.
  17. Same here.
  18. Now I understand. Thx.
  19. noisy_lightning On the upper left, is it from BE to cursor or cursor to BE? I am still having a problem getting my head around the difference between the upper left and lower right. On my SA page the numbers were 216 for 33 for the upper left and 215 for 34 for the lower right. Virtually the same.
  20. I think the joystick gets a new name so you have to copy your old WH profile or redo it (I don't recall which one), but it only has to be done once.
  21. Never realized that site existed. Its like an up to date manual for the plane. However, I am still a little confused on what is the difference between the SA upper left coordinates and the last line on the lower right. Upper left description: When an A/A waypoint is designated, this displays the bearing and range from the A/A waypoint to the TDC cursor. and the last line of the lower right: if an A/A waypoint is designated, this is the trackfile's bearing and range from the A/A waypoint or "bullseye" (BE).
  22. In the monitor config file: --UFC F18_UFC = { x = 2668; y = 30; width = 455; height = 263; } and in the UFC init file: ------------------------ added by Capt Zeen dofile(LockOn_Options.common_script_path.."ViewportHandling.lua") try_find_assigned_viewport("F18_UFC") ------------------------ end of added by Capt Zeen That is the extent of my limited knowledge.
  23. I am a little confused on the different coordinates located at the top left and lower right on the SA Page. Is the coordinates on the top left from BE to the location of the Cursor? Is the coordinates on the next to last line on the lower right from Ownship to the Cursor? Is the coordinates on the last line on the lower right from BE to the location of the Cursor? If so, how does that differ from the coordinates on the top left? Grim Reapers hour long video on the SA page was very good but it left me a little confused on the above. Thanks
  24. Jak525 and gekoiq Thanks for the correct method, " 4 digits, hit enter, then do the last 4." works great. Where is the original source of this info?
  25. When I try to enter DD MM SS.ss in HSI>DATA>PRECISE, I cannot seem to do so. I have no problem entering the 8 digits when I use the JDAM>PP>UFC, but cannot seem to do so if I want to use TOO and waypoint data. Am I doing something wrong?
