Hollywood After hitting reload and finish buttons in the Keyword Editor, a window pops up concerning the updated keyword database. The 3rd paragraph states to double click the “AI Comms” command (category keywords collection) and clear all existing keywords in the “when I say” field and then apply paste to place the new keyword set and press apply when done. I am a little confused on these instructions. Under the Heading Description, there are numerous AI Comms. Do you go thru each one or what?

I am able to use Vaicom Pro but still no comms menus appear. I could not find anything in the game that was labelled subtitles. My work-a-round is to use button 17 on the WH joystick to call up the comm menu if I need it.

After the latest update, I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, but when I press the Target designation button on the MFD to make a WP a target[, the distance and any other info on the HUD disappears and their is no target box in the hud and this button will not light up in the MFD. This happened in multiplayer and I am not sure if there is a multiplayer issue or the game has an issue.

No matter what I do, I cannot get the menus to show up.

Hollywood Also inspect your keybinds in dcs config to make sure they don't trigger anything else. Does that mean you continue to bind the mic buttons on the WH throttle to the Comm 1 and 2 controls or not? Sorry but I am confused.

ricktoberfest I am glad to see that I was not crazy. I started to follow your suggestions: I removed the heel claps and so far this is not comfortable, but will continue with them like that for a while. When you stated: Loosen the clamps under the pedals a couple of turns of the screw so they feel a little wobbly which screws are you referring to? The ones under the pedals? Why those for the rudder issue? I have some M-kote EM-30L synthetic polyolefin grease that I may try if I knew where to put it. After reading some posts on this forum, in the game I set a DZ of 1 and a saturation of 20 and that seems to work nicely for the rudder.

I am using the $79 TM Rudder Pedals and find that the rudders "stick" a little bit so I end up pushing them to much and go off path. I am thinking of using a saturation of less than 100. What do others use for a saturation on the TM pedals? Any curves?

Hollywood_315 Sorry to be such an idiot, but still having issues. I have TX3 set up as button 6 on my throttle. On the PTT page, the dial is set to NORM and for some reason, TX3 is blanked out. When I try to use it, on release it make a BRRing sound. The green LCD says F18, Easy Comm On, and Multi is lit up.

Hollywood I have the WH throttle set up so that TX1 and 3 are buttons 4 and 6 on the WH throttle. These are for Comm 1 and 2 on the F18. However, I would like the comms menus to remain on the screen and they keep disappearing on me even though I have Disable Menus unchecked in the config box. What am I doing wrong? Also, in the edit profile list, for TX 1 and 3 in the column Shortcut, it says Shortcut disabled. What does that mean? I have the pro version.

LazyBoot Hoggit was missing the SRS autoconnect script for a while after re-setting up their server. All this time I thought it was me doing something wrong.

Ciribob With your help on Dicord the other day, I was able to get SRS working. Sometimes the auto connect does not seem to work on Hoggit and both of my screens are covered with the game and Helios. As a work around, I now connect before I log on to the Hoggit server and that seems to work. However, if I lose contact, I have no way to get it back except to get out of the game. It would be nice if a hotkey would allow me to reconnect. No big deal, but an item on my wish list. I am not using VR.

Ciribob I don't know if it has already been asked, but is a hotkey to connect posible?

The other day I wrote this to CH: I have your USB joystick, throttle, pedals and MFD board and have had them for many years. Currently, when I push the rudder to the left, the left brake is also engaged. Not a good situation when trying to land. After several messages back and forth I got this from CH: Most likely the potentiometers are starting to wear out, The only solution we can provide is to send a couple replacement potentiometers, but there are no other spare parts we can provide, and we are unable to provide any repair or repair instructions. Please let me know if you would like to move forward with two replacement potentiometers, and we will mail them out asap. I said yes and they are mailing them to me. The problem is that I have no idea what to do with them once they arrive. So my question is-is there anyone who is handy that would like to help me replace them. I assume that we could do it by facetime or something like that. I live on the west coast (Oregon). PS: I do not use the CH manager as it consistently caused me the BOD. So I just use the windows calibration and the controls in DCS.

My advice would be to stick with the TM Warthog stick and throttle for a year or so while the other brands sort out their issues. You will get the most help for setting up your HOTAS with the Warthog Hotas. The other brands may be good but they still have some issues. As for rudders, again go with the cheap TM rudders for the time being to see if you really need the 300 to 500 dollar rudders. Also, get a second monitor (touchscreen if possible) and learn to use Helios or Ikanus for the cockpit.

After the latest OpenBeta update, I ran the F18 clean without the Cpt Z mods and it ran fine. I then included the capt Z changes for Helios and got a black screen. Reinstalling OpenBeta again. UPDATE: RUNNING FINE NOW.
