To make things short: INS drift and update are bugged, disable Gyro Drift in your options
-
Not clicking on Target unlock ?

I’m trying to navigate to a tanker on 31X and I get red bars on the indicator in the M-2000C
Is there an A2A channel that will work?
31X works, we use it regularly in our squadron
I guess you have set tacan to A/A on the right console

You don't need to go to VEI to edit your position, you can do it in ALN :smilewink:
Indeed, just an hold habit that i have :D
-
Going through it again, engine started, requested start up, INS not ready ALN yellow flashing, counter still at 100, can't select NAV.
Wait wait wait, what ?
First you select VEI on PSM, then you update Waypoint 00 coordinates on PCN, then you select ALN on PSM, then click on VAL on PCN, then select STS on PSM to check progress.
Once alignement is done, you select NAV on PSM. Then you request Start Up, and then you start the engine.

Man... The M2000C is one of my most loved planes in DCS (Just love the delta wingers). It pains me since some years, that I have to wait for each update so long :(
We are a lot feeling the same :(
Hope came back the last few months as some old bugs were fixed and new features added. But unfortunately Zeus seems to be a bit lonely and is now focused back on the Harrier.
I guess we have to wait until focus switch back on the Mirage...

Any update on M2000-5? Is it dead or alive?
Since Rafale is probably not an option for now, would love to have another jet on pair with f16 f18 and jf17.
As dead as it can be.
Look for the typhoon instead, it will probably be out well before having any news on a 2000-5
We will see if Razbam will ever finish the M2000C first, as Zeus announced on discord that it's back in the queue . He is back working on the Harrier.

Can you provide a screenshot ? You are in Nav mode if you can select APP and see ILS cue in the HUD.
-
GBU-24 is still not working, is that correct?
indeed
-
Indeed, i noticed a couple of times that relative speed was displaying negative value whereas i was closing in on a target.
Would be great if you could add a track showing the issue for the devs.
-
It' has been removed by default as it's not available on the M2000C IRL
Indeed, it has to be enabled in mission editor if you want to use it.
Would be great if you could ask such questions in the main forum, in order to have only confirmed bugs in the Bug Section

Hi all,
i am back to the Mirage ... and i feel good to fly the overhauled model.
While playing atm A2A only, there are some questions grewed up.
1.) Azimut 60 deg, i can lock only targets in the 30deg cone in front of me.
is this right or may i do something wrong ?
2.) Azimut 30 deg.
i slew the TDC to the left and can lock a target.
the target notched me and i lost the lock.
and then i never find the target again ...
is this an issuue or may i do something wrong ?
and yes, i am not so firm about the limitations of the M2K radar :music_whistling:
regards and looking forward
1- There is an issue locking target with PPI display when indeed target is at a high ATA. They tried to sort it out with an option call TDC aperture IIRC. The larger the input, the bigger zone around the TDC will be taken into account when trying to lock the target. But it doesn't work that well.
Easiest workaround though is to use B Scan display instead of PPI, as there is no issue using B Scan. I'm pretty sure it used to work fine with PPI before, so i'm not sure what screwed it up. It's a pain cause i like PPI better, and French Air Force is using PPI display from what i could see from pictures/videos.
2- I don't have that issue. Maybe try to shrink to the scan zone by playing with azimuth and Bar setting. Play with antena elevation also. The DO track (ghost yellow contact appearing when lock is dropped) should help you find your target back. Also you can get below the target to deny beaming opportunity.
And by the way, beaming is used to talk about the target, and notching to talk about your aircraft ;)

Having the FPM caged is a bug reported here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4354911#post4354911
There's no functionality to cage/uncage FPM in the M2000C AFAIK (like you have in F-16 or F-18 for example)

Hi,
When I try to make an INS update, either by overfly or radar ranging, I can mark the point, the deltas show in the INS display, it's less than 15nm and VAL & REC buttons light up, but, when I press VAL, it seems nothing happens, because the reference waypoint does not move to the marked object. Am I doing something wrong?
Also, when entering an DeltaAlt (offset mode) in feet (left screen) the results gets converted to meters. For instance, entering -00086 on the left results in -00026ft and -0008m while it should be -00086ft and -0026m. I guess this is a bug.
Cheers!
When validating the update, it should move the cross to the exact coordinate location (basically it's resetting INS drift to 0)which is a bug already reported as it should move it to the point designated during the update.
You seem to do everything correctly, so just silly question : don't you have the disable drift option activated ? :D
Cause in this case, you will still get INS drift value on the PCN but as drift is disabled, your waypoint will be on the correct location hence it wont be updated once you validate the update.
Regarding the altitude offset, i've reported it in the bug section. It's a display bug only, calculation seems to take into account the data entered in feet.

Typical ICC issue as we say in France
You might want to read again the first part of section 15 in the manual :book:
-
An exception to this is using offset bombing, as it is bugged (bomb drops when trigger is depressed), you press the trigger as the line passes.
This has been fixed several weeks ago. Works as intended now as standard CCPL automatic release
-
Did you try it at turns?
Yes, whatever the bank angle when the fpm is right on the horizon, VSI shows 0
-
When i have the FPM on the horizon, VSI shows 0

Keep in mind that you are delivering Mk82 Snake Eye in CCIP with the Mirage, so high drag bombs.
So use rather level bombing (as mentioned by Jojo) or shallow dive. It's not like delivering Low Drag Mk 82 in CCIP on the US plane like A10, F18 or F16.
The profile recommended in the manual would work with BLG 66 in the game, but not with Mk82 SE.
Level bombing at 300Ft AGL and 500KCAS works great as Jojo said

DI is lower as you said with aim-120's on 1,2,8,9 and aim-9's on 3 and 7.
Is it ? cause -1-1 gives same DI respectively for Aim9 and Aim120 (with launcher + adapter) for station 2,3,7 or 8 :book:
-
Small addition, if you unselect RDO on PCA, DO track won't be created on VTB when manually unlocking a target

https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4351072&postcount=12
Issue can be reproduced on current Stable version starting up cold with Full INS Alignement and INS drift enable
-
Flying in close formation can be used to cause issue with sorting. That works well against the Mirage 2000C and its RDI Radar because indeed there are no expend option. You have to wait for the bandits to come closer to be able to sort them, or sometimes you can't and have to wait for the merge.
Don't compare a F-16C Block 50 and a Mirage 2000C.
Mirage 2000-5 can be compared to F-16C Block 50, and has expend option and Fox3 capability.
-
I do use IFF but still, it would be nice to see it confirmed.
NCTR depends indeed of range but also of Target Aspect, so it's not always available. It's the same for all aircrafts. For example, won't be available with Beaming/Draging targets.
But it works fine on the Mirage 2000C, try the guns guns guns instant mission and you'll have it for example.
Fake 530D launch
in M-2000
Posted
A S530D will have a decent Pk when launched at 20 Nm when flying at around 35k around Mach 1+ if bandit is lazy with counter maneuver.
Switching from PID to PIC is (was) used IRL by M2000C pilot to try make opponent react, even at range above 20 Nm. Success depends of the opponent and his knowledge of your systems/weapons.
