Hold on here so So you're saying I could plug my 4090 + 3090 in the same mobo and enjoy a 1300W Space heater ? I dug out some old ass <profanity> from the forum Circa 2010 In regards to DCS there is a slight performance boost with SLI and Crossfire but it's really not worth the cost (it's only a few FPS). I run my GTX295 with the SLI turned off and use the second card for whats called "multi GPU AA" , it offloads all the Anti Alias onto the second card and makes it look way better with zero performance drop. DCS is more CPU bound. If your graphics card is decent you're better off with a CPU upgrade...

I am bringing this topic back from the dead. (For the one still with us) Would that work with a 4090 + 3090 ? Slayer There are different modes of SLI, the default mode has each card rendering half of the display for Nvidia cards. Not sure on ATI how they do it for crossfire. Using different cards isn't reccomended by either Nvidia or ATI but they both support it. It's called "hybrid sli". Since you didn't specify what chip makers cards your using its slightly different for each.. In regards to DCS there is a slight performance boost with SLI and Crossfire but it's really not worth the cost (it's only a few FPS). If your using Vista or 7 it's a hassle to get it to display on several monitors unless you have a THTG or something similar, especially if you are thinking to use one for ABRIS or shkval display.

From AMD7800X3D to 9800X3D, stutters!!!
Obic replied to motoadve's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It might be irrelevant but on the X870 but on the X570 when It came out(Early Bios), A SOC voltage too low would cause all kind of weird <profanity> with audio and Ram instability -
Has anyone order the 20nm one instead of the 35nm version? Do you think it's worth it for a extra 100 euro or not ?

Upgrading from Oculus Quest 2 to Meta Quest 3 ?
Obic replied to Ranger1882's topic in Virtual Reality
If your GPU can sustain it Encode Bitrate to 800 to 900 is really good with link cable. (Can be any high quality USB A to USB C 3.2) Then scale up the resolution in the oculus app, I suggest keeping 72hz as it allows you to run without ASW if your GPU can do it. -

That's the problem I have with these type of post What hardware is the first thing on the list that should be mentioned. What settings in the second one Cable Link - What bitrate - what resolution- ASW on or off - VD : What was your transfer rate - router speed - what codec did you use at what rate etc (The amount of people on their discord running VD 5ghz sub 1200 mbps is baffling) Black mask is something I've never experience with VD
-
I Tried one It's the most Idiotic and useless Piece of hardware, I've ever seen.

I personally Uninstalled every bit of Oculus PC software from my PC after VDXR came to life. VD is a quality of life improvement period. (Start VD on PC , Put headset , select VD, Done) Link cable use to drop frames, crash and do weird <profanity>, needed to alt tab, windows scheduler wouldn't see it as a priority etc. (Official link cable in the Mobo USB too) ASW is bit better than the VD SSW Imo but I run at 80fps Stable in MP no SSW so I couldn't care less. I run VD at High(same as oculus 1.7x), SSW off, H264+ @ 350mbps (Router is AX3000, 2400mbps on the 160mhz band) DCS everything on High @ MSAA 2x 5800x3d, 64GB Ram, 4090 @ 2800mhz I can run Godlike mode at 72fps stable WW2 servers with 50 players but PARIS !!! make it drop to 60fps and I find spotting harder. I also experimented with High in VD + 1.1 PD no MSAA but i'm not convinced. Quadview is really nice BUT the CPU overhead is just enough to drop fps into ASW SSW territory on big MP servers sadly. As for the link cable at 960mbps, YES it's better looking until the encoder <profanity> itself in heavy MP and can't maintain 72fps and drop frames every so often.

Is there a collaboration btw Heatblur and VKB for a B8 Style grip for the upcoming F-4E Phantom ? If so any chance to get a Ultimate version of it & the option to NOT have the Twist Grip

VKB is a stick & Hardware manufacturer While their connector are amazing they are different than Virpil and Thrustmaster. So a adapter need to be installed when buying *Exemple the F-18 Stick* -

That's it I'm buying a bamboo lab X1 Carbon Do you think you'll make a VKB version for it ? -
I still think they should go the Black shark III like upgrade/update way for like 15-20$ ? Revised texture and model Modernized Early or late 1990's avionics Improved A.I & Co-pilot Revised Armament Add troops movement in and out
