  1. I think we all would like to keep this sim as close to real as possible. I don't know why some of you guys think that pilots could not hear other aircraft...here is one example @11:15https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tTbMKVuijE8, if I have the time I'll look for others if available
  2. As inconvienamt as it might be, the sounds that is. We are only here for the realisum and so must accept the good and the bed...other aircraft could be heard 75 years ago according to those pilots
  3. From the reports of WW ll pilots that flew the jug, I believe it true that you could in fact hear other aircraft and also her gun's
  4. I think that the P-47 was far more successful in ending the war, especially in France and Germany
  5. Some od you may remember that hard field landing that I did, which took out the star.strut..so maybe just impacts
  6. anyway, would be a good place to look, and possible eliminate as the culprit
  7. rudder is not right, In my long held opinion of it
  8. It does have issues I think
  9. It is a common business practice and sometimes government requirement to make copies of such important test results to forward along to those who would consider procurement of these government war aircraft....that's why I think it possible to find in some storage or library these very interesting documents. There are people who do this as a living, and search for you, for a fee of course :P
  10. I have always felt that the rudder is not quite right..
  11. library of Congress is another good possibility, and you may be able to search their doc's on-line, maybe...I'm drawing a blank here on the Island, and Republic field peoples
  12. No, but I will try to find out. I have friends with Father's who had worked there on these aircraft, maybe they can shed some light on the history of the doc's.
  13. I work near the old facility and Republic field ....I bet much of that went to a government storage, or Federal or NYS library
  14. I thought that the aircraft used were damaged goods, and so you know can any of it be trusted
  15. I have been saying for a long time now that the rudder lacks authority both on the ground and in the air...I have shown this visual evidence before, just look at that turn prior to touch down, and the pilots use of the rudder both on the ground and up in the air. [ame= ] [/ame]
