Hi, thanks for the reply! I followed the install notes in the zip package which said Mods go into the main DCS file area and liveries to Saved Games. Is this old now? Should it ALL go in Saved games?

I'm getting an authorisation error. Anyone know how to fix this? Authorization is valid for 3d 0h 0m The following DLCs are not authorized and will be disabled: HMAS Melbourne

Hi All - dumb question follows... I'm using Voice Attack and its giving a spurious command that is starting what sounds like a movie camera running in the background. I can't find what this is or what command will be activating it. Any ideas?

Hi All, 2.9 has been running stable but a few changes now lead to a full crash with every run of DCS. i5 9600 CPU and 3800 and G2 I was running Open XR toolkit (stable for ever) with upscaling in that tool "off" in then runtime , however I changed to NIS and then CAS upscaling when in game to see the effects and now I'm just getting endless crashes (full PC restart). Even when I run Open XR Toolkit Companion and click the 'disable' button the crashed still occur. Will a full uninstall of the Toolkit Companion remove/prevent the running of NIS/CAS? Any advise most appreciated.

In VR, in the editor, the map icons at the bottom (Map, Sat, Alt) - as I move my cursor over there in VR there is an identical mouse pointer on my 2D desktop now pointing at some of my Toolbar app icons. It is only happening at the very bottom of the VR display where this 'overlap' occurs. Is there something I can change to prevent this?

Hi there, my CPG TDU display stays blank. I can see TADS through an MFD with video set to TADS. Is there a setting or mode I'm missing to bring TADS imagery into TDU?

I’m slowly figuring how to use George but have only just started. As pilot - if I call on George then gun control goes to CPG and I can’t seem to get it back. How do I get the gun back to pilot control? (My question only has partial context sorry).

I have selected Trial for the Afghanistan map. When I check Files on the launcher it shows 6 items available at the top - but none show up in the module name. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks guys - rather than modding our current short arm joysticks, I was thinking more in line of a ‘normal’ length joystick, floor based, available as retail product with the appropriate deflection range.

Guys - brilliant diversity of views and opinions - just what I was after. I guess I was really testing the theory of a low cost simple upgrade - clearly the advice above and from a few others is that this is unlikely to allow me to see any real step change over my current rig for DCS performance. So plan B is clearly needed, and I'll have to pony up for the $$$ but I'm good with that if that is what is needed to really allow the 3080 to shine and also allow me to move up to a 40XX series later. I really want great VR performance with my G2 headset. So it seems to me a new MB that supports either i7 14700k or 7800X3D will be the go - so I may as well then go the DDR5 path. With the DDR - is 32 GB enough? Seem to be on my current rig. I was not aware of challenges getting the 147000K working well. Is that a heavy concern? For the intel path I'm currently looking at Gigabyte Z790 Gaming X with i7 14700K For the AMD path I'm looking at Gigabyte X670 Gaming X AX V2 AM5 with 7800X3D For either - Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB (2x16GB) C36 6200MHz DDR5 This will be teamed with my current ASUS TUF RTX 3080 Opinions, alternatives most welcome!!

Hi, I'm currently running at i5 9600k and 3080. CPU sure seems to be the bottleneck. I plan to upgrade my MB and CPU. I'd like to future proof so that this CPU/MB combo also remains relevant when I eventually upgrade to something like a 4080ti etc. Can anyone recommend what CPU would be a good match for the GPU options I've noted above?
