As COP26 is taking place currently, I thought it timely to post about a subject that flies under the radar (pun intended). One of the areas I support for example is biomass conversion to aviation fuel. Not zero carbon but not fossil fuel sourced. Gannet

Open Beta Update failure - AV off Can't complete update. Initially tried via DCS updater utility. Bullguard AV blocked. Then from DCS openbeta launch with AV off. I16FM.dll will not download. Autoupdate log attached autoupdate_log 23032020.txt

So young! Condolences to Alexander's family and colleagues. He managed some fantastic modules through to commercialisation and they are throughly enjoyed by their fans.

For anyone else having a similar problem, I deleted my Throttle config file in "Saved Games" user folder and let it regenerate when reloading a mission. All is right with the world again :), at least in DCS world!

Hi all Apologies if covered previously - tried searching. Anyone know if it’s possible to use warthog throttle levers off to idle during Engine start instead of default ralt- Home etc? If so how? I’ve tried and can’t make it work. Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers

Hi, I had programme freeze whilst creating simple mission with Huey out of Beslan. Editor froze when clicking between waypoint and loadout tabs. c. 1 minute and then ok.

I voted for Campaigns and Missions but really want more thematic content e.g. campaign around a particular timescale / theatre. This would aid immersion and also make DCS world more accessible to new entrants. I fear it must be a little confusing now with the vast and growing range of flyable planes / helos.

I concur. I've downloaded FC3 training missions but they do not show in the menu. Only option is "Delete"

Hi Folks I'm getting a crash in Mission 1 of Georgian oil war 2 campaign. The game just freezes and the pc is locked. I have to reboot pc to get out of this problem. This was quite a way, c. 25 mins into mission. I was trying to get wingman to actually do something via datalink and radio at the time. I don't seem to have a crash file in this instance, in the logs but the generated dcs.log is attached if any use. This has happened twice in this same mission with same result. After first time I ran repair. I'm on 1.2.12 up to date, with all modules except 109, incl preview hawk. Never seen this type of crash before Graphic card driver up to date. not sure if its a mission bug or a 1.2.12 thing, or otherwise. Any help welcome. Cheers Gannet dcs1.zip

Don't know about anyone else but I'd find it useful if the manuals for DCS modules had version numbers so I know whether I am looking at the most up to date one.

Hi ED The website rest password function is not working for me. With either user name or email entered I'm not receiving the reset email. Reporting here as user support only works when logged in! Can someone please help as I want to buy a new helo for a rainy weekend. Gannet

Hey Ho Just completed a reinstall of DCSW and all modules. All modules activated successfully (incl. BS2) with keys from the "Payments" element of DCS Website. Now I can fly the Blackshark (I loaded the firing range mission and started the engines), but when I enter Module Manager and Log in with my website log in and password, all other module keys can be accessed by clicking on the serial number buttons. BS however returns "No Key". I am using the upgrade version which worked in previous installation. I have "repaired" the DCSW installation and still same issue. Ver 1.2.5.15865 ps Should I have still had to activate each module manually? I thought that was what module manager was for....?

In case it's useful to anyone, I found the problem to be a Touchbase touch screen driver that was loading at start up (tbdaemon.exe). This was crashing when starting the 3d render. Once disabled this solved the locking/crash problem. Cheers
