Then how was I able to download the base game? I can through the steps and it's all good. The error above only comes up after I try to start the Updater about 15-20 times. It just doesn't start 95% of the time and once it does, I get the above error.

Are you 100% sure? I have the same issue on 2 separate drives, but only with the Updater. Starting the base game with DCS.exe works.

Base game seems to be behaving for the most part, but I am unable to download any other modules.

Please don't hijack my thread I can't event start base game with 2.7, therefore Saved Games folder is not created and there are no logs. @Flappie @BIGNEWY

I'm still looking at these logs and I think I'll just remove everything and redownload fresh. Thank God for fast internet.

I indeed installed Volanta, but I never even ended up trying it and removed it sgortly after. It would be very surprising for such software that was installed on one drive to cause problems on another physical after several formats and Windows installs. Thanks again for trying, for now it's a mental exercise.

Read more carefully: first reinstall was months ago on main drive with latest and is kept updated at all times. Several tests were done in last 2 days with multiple reinstalls of latest Windows downloaded 2 days ago on secondary drive, and then as last resort, I tried 1903 I had on storage drive to see if it'll make a difference, considering I do not have another PC to test it on.

After long 2 days of troubleshooting with a DCS admin and very IT savvy guy far deeper than what was suggested here, we've hit a dead end yet again. Last step I did was remove all but one drive, install fresh Windows 1903, installed DCS, got same 2 errors as post 1, tried with just 1 of each of 4 sticks of RAM, no difference. Unfortunately I do not have another PC to test this on, but I suspect it everything would work Thank you all for trying, but there's something deep in my PC that happened in last 6 months that's preventing just DCS from working and I can't figure out what. I'll take a look at resetting BIOS, but I really do not want to do it unless I have to.

Where can I locate that file though?

Already have when I installed Windows. I can't disable them, they keep coming back. dcs.log Here's "something". I've attempted to start DCS after restart, only made it to the small black splashscreen before CTD without error. It's almost 7pm and it has been 3 days non-stop of dead ends with nothing relating to anything. I have very little patience after 5 months of troubleshooting. I can't have my PC disabled from it's daily functions that I need it for for one game. Thank you both for trying, but I will have to return to the original installation because this isn't going anywhere and I need my data and programs back.

@StevanJ none of them can be disabled, they're critical Windows services. Currently, my PC is effectively disabled with this SSD out of normal use. I will soon return it to previous state, so I can continue using my other games and programs I need in daily use, unfortunately DCS doesn't have that kind of priority.

Logs only get created when I get into the UI, otherwise nothing. @XPACT reference post #1, identical 2 errors this whole time. What's sha256 value? Command isn't working. "Positional parameter cannot be found that accepts argument 'Files\Eagle' @StevanJ that is how I am trying.

I did install Chrome so I can log in to my accounts easier. I will uninstall it. When did the code change? Post 1 errors are same ones I've been encountering since November.
