Hey P3CFE - my mistake buddy - go to Saved Games, then DCS folder, then go into config folder and then open 'OPTIONS.LUA' in your text editor and you will find it there buddy. When I opened my text editor I pressed CTRL + F to open search box, then typed in 'Vaicom' and it takes you to the area within the options file where the VAICOM coding is :-). Then check your headphones setting. Mine was at '0' so I changed it to '100' then saved the file. Opened my Voice Attack and Vaicom and it worked great :-). Hope that helps :-).

LOL timj - glad you got it all sorted out and bought a new terrain :-). Nevada is an excellent terrain. That's the thing with DCS, you just can't stop buying modules etc. I have bought loads of modules but only know how to fly F5 and FA18 (and i'm still trying to learn many of the F18 functions). I just bought the new F14 but know I won't get round to flying that for months yet - still got the Harrier, Mirage, A10C, etc etc to learn also lol. A never ending journey - that's what I love about this game :-)

Have you removed the AIRIO extension file? This is found in Voice Attack's APPS folder, then VAICOMPRO folder then in extensions folder. This should help if you remove the extension (I think!!!).

Managed to fix it - for some reason my options.lua in Saved Games had altered the 'headphones' setting which was set to '0'. I changed this value to '100' and BINGO - it worked :-). Phew!! If anyone else ever has this issue I hope this helps :-)

Hi there, I have an issue where I am hearing Chatter etc. and voice attack/Vaicom recognise my commands however when I get a reply (say from ATC) I cannot hear it. The ATC reply can be seen in Voice Attack but I can't hear it. I have tried both methods to fix this as suggested in video - removing export.lua and using 'custom DCS path' but still hearing nothing in response. Any ideas or do I just go for a reinstall? Any help would be hugely appreciated as this is an amazing piece of software :-). I only just bought it 2 nights ago and it is superb :-)

My apologies - I thought it was released on Stable Version :-(. That's good to know though - at least I am not confused anymore as to where the aircraft is :-). Thanks for the info, much appreciated :-)

Hi there, I just bought the F14 and had it installed on the Open Beta build. However, I have switched back to the Stable Version of the game and the F14 is not installed and it is not showing in my Module Manager. It doesn't even show in 'Available DLC' (if it thought I hadn't bought it). It essentially looks like it has disappeared from everywhere!! Can anyone help please in finding my beloved F14? Many thanks in advance

HOTAS suggestion needed
dokken1212 replied to BfrancyFly's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I just bought a Warthog 2 days ago and it's the best thing I did - AMAZING and very easy to use without rudder pedals/twist axis. Buy one, you won't regret it :-) -
All Maps Do Not Load Hi there, having an issue where I downloaded all 5 maps but all return the same error (except Normandy WW2 map) - it states 'Mission Cannot Be Saved Due to Errors' and it lists various units and their Frequency e.g 'Mig-19P: Invalid Frequency 100MHz', indeed most errors seem to return the 124MHZ frequency as the main error. Anyone able to assist please? Edit: Does it only work currently with the Open Beta?

All Maps Do Not Load Hi there, having an issue where I downloaded all 5 maps but all return the same error (other than WW2 Normandy map) - it states 'Mission Cannot Be Saved Due to Errors' and it lists various units and their Frequency e.g 'Mig-19P: Invalid Frequency 100MHz', indeed most errors seem to return the 124MHZ frequency as the main error. Anyone able to assist please? Is it because I do not own these 2 modules (Mig 19 and F14)? PS: I have added a JPEG showing the error below. Edit - Does it currently only work with Open Beta?

Hi Everyone - thank you for the kind comments on this post, much appreciated indeed. I now have the Warthog and I usually fly the F18 and as Bipper says it doesn't need too much rudder. I have most of the modules other than the F-14 currently. I have over the months just been buying one a month but have still to learn most of them. Good to know though that I best have rudders for the F-14. I use the hat/POV switch at the top of the throttle (the hat switch on the same side as the china switch) and to be honest it works pretty well. However, that may be because the F18 isnt too demanding with takeoff rudder input!!. Overall, though this seems to work really well and also when I was using my old twist joystick I tended to overcompensate with rudder on takeoff however with the Warthog hat/POV switch I actually find I can put in small, and more precise inputs. So I can only say at this point, with the F18, this works extremely well :-)

Thanks for this - just got my Warthog today and this is a superb resource to go with it. Much appreciated :-) -
Hi everyone, I have searched the forum but haven't been able to find a definitive answer to this question, albeit I know it is likely there but can't find it :-) I am buying a Warthog in the next few days - my concern is there is no twist on the stick for rudder and I don't really want to spend another load of money on flight pedals. My question is: Am I able to get round this and use some setting/switch on the Warthog for my rudder? Any help would be hugely appreciated and thank you in advance :-)

Thanks Guys - didn't look there - told you I was thick as sh*t lol. I was looking in the manual for a reference list, then looking in my maps folders for some sort of list ...... and so on. Thanks for the responses - much appreciated :-)

Hi Everyone, I'm looking for some help please :-) I am looking for the airfield codes to punch into the Viggen 6 digit nav computer. I get that each airfield code starts '90' but I am unable to work out/find where to get the following two airfield identifier numbers. I know for example that Beslan is '9021' and Mozdok '9017'. But where would I get these two digits from? Thanks very much in advance and I know i'm thick as sh*t!!! lol All the very best

Just to let pilots know that the Viggen is on sale for $23.99 (£18.99) direct from Heatblur. Happy hunting :) http://www.heatblur.com

Thank you very much everyone, really appreciate the information and advice. Very kind of you all :-). I have downloaded DCS World and bought FC3 and will use this in the meantime until both DCS versions 'merge' and becomes one unified product as it were. In the meantime to satiate the WW2 itch I got IL2 Stalingrad and Moscow and will await developments on the WW2 era with DCS. I went IL2 as they are bringing out a career' update in the next few months which will make the game feel a little more interesting. So right now I have the best of both worlds I think and will await DCS getting WW2 up and going in a serious way :-). Thanks everyone :-)

Hi guys, Being new to DCS I am keen to explore WW2 flight simming with the P51. I am keen to purchase the Normandy Map and Assets pack plus the P51 aircraft. Is this all i need to buy to get started? Will there be missions I can use with this or do I need to buy other modules? Thanks in advance and appreciate any help. All the very best
