  1. Just an FYI and as an update, I had the same problem develop after the latest update. I use the Throttle Friction Control Slider Axis as the Flap handle and suddenly the range became shorter, so when selecting the flaps fully up, the sensor would not recognize it as fully up, ergo, the wing sweep would stop at 55 Degrees.

After adjusting the curve all is good...

So, can the microstick on the throttle be used for the Hornet TDS cursor?

So, there was a post by Le0Kong a few years ago where he published some Registry Edits for the X65F, which like the Rhino has a MiniStick; one post even has a RegFix for the X52. The link is here, but it's an old post, and the RegEdit for the X65F is not working anymore. I have a feeling that it's got something to do with the latest driver versions by Saitek.

Any Registry Wizards here wanna take a shot? I'm a humble moron and have no clue what that sorcery is all about...

  3. Hey guys, thanks for reading this post.
I (still) fly with an old Saitek X65F and previously had used Le0Kong’s Registry Mod for DCS to detect the Throttle Ministick. Due to work I was out of the game for a while and even had to rebuild my Rig replacing my SSD’s. So, after a complete Windows reinstall the Registry Mod has no effect. I tried contacting Le0Kong directly, but he seems busy and hasn’t responded…
I’ve tried pretty much everything, from registry modding to MadCats changing all options, but to no avail, unfortunately. Anyone have any idea what else I could do to make DCS recognize?

One thing to note... it's "SEPECAT Jaguar", not Spectat, SEPECAT.

I think this aircraft would make a good 'counter' to the Su25T as a freebie since it's almost as capable in both air to air, and air to ground, and it's basically been used all over the place, and is still in use today.

Man... there's my Dyslexia again... Sorry...! You're absolutely right! SEPECAT!

The sidewinders were there for emotional support...

The GR3a with the 97 upgrade so we have the Helmet sight thingy..

Interesting thing I remember: I saw a few Saudi or Kuwaiti Jaguars coming back during Desert Storm having the Sidewinders mounted ON TOP of the wing... must have been a ME add-on?

  5. There is actually an important difference between “little” and “no warning”.

Any Fox 3 shot in TWS will not go “Pitbull” (active) until it is at a pre-determined range, so its normal to not have an active missile warning until that moment. And that depends on your aspect of the missile (if you’re going head-on at Mach 2 with your hair on fire you will probably just get a one-second impact advisory; cranking/notching turns the missile active a lot earlier!).

So to sum it up, it’s normal…

Was your radar on? I'm able to get a solid diamond outside of 5 miles.

    Absolutely...

    Perhaps a little more detail...
I was in an F-14A on AlpenWolf's Cold War Server, with an A-10 running errants on the other side of the map...

  7. Hey Everyone... so, was bombing a little with the Cat and I tried to designate a AAA defended target by distance to attack it from altitude...
So, used Computer Target mode and VS Low and VS high to move the diamond, but PAL does not "lock" the location...

    Something broke again?

Edit: Type was an F-14A with 12 Mk-82's... in Normal/CCIP mode all bombs released on target as scheduled...

  8. Awesome, Alpi! Great Briefing and great Scenario!
Any chance to move the Comms Tower at Saipan a little off the airport movement area, like not next to the Runway? Not all of us are pro-pilots (yet) and a simple go-around could be disastrous...
Like, on the other side of the taxiway next to the Terminal? Or even better, just South of the Runway at the Airport border fence...

I was curious about the difference between Mustang's shader mod 2.7 and the universal VR shader mod by fholger. From the description they do largely similar things, although fholger's works on VR only. Was wondering if anybody flying VR compared the two regarding effect and performance, and if there is any point in combining the two mods? Thanks!

@Mustang I also was not compleatly clear when I asked my question but I greatly appreciate your response!

I also have 2.7 installed and was curious about the performance difference between this and fHolger Shaders in 2.7, if there can be any comparison...

I'm a starving airline worker at the moment and still have to make it work with a highly overclocked 4th Gen i7 on a CV1... 😟

Did someone compare this shader mod with the new universal VR shader? I fly VR exclusively and have used Mustang's shader mod so far with 2.5.6. Just upgraded to 2.7 and wanted to know which one to use, I guess using them both at the same time might give some unwanted effects? Thanks for any info.

I do so too, any news on this?
    Any performance difference between them?
