  1. Hello all! So when I started using my cougar with the new Viper module I was having issues right away with the microstick. I am using the TUSBA my realsimulator, along with the realsimulator FSSB. I just recently installed the C-MUK hall sensor kit from vipergear. The microstick in the beginning wouldn't center up, no matter how I calibrated it. When I was in the game the cursor in the MFD would just keep slewing up and to the right no matter what I did. Now I can see the microstick in the calibration but DCS doesn't recognize it as an axis anymore. Does anyone have any idea? Anyone from realsimulator here that can help? The HOTAS Cougar Control Center doesn't work because I am not using a stock Cougar. Any ideas??
  2. Do you know how to do that on an ORBI router?
  3. Gents, So I have been trying to get my desktop and my laptop to connect to each other. Here is what I have done so far: 1. Setup a separate account with different login 2. Bought separate modules (only the two seat versions for my laptop) 3. Enabled the port 10308 in my router 4. Started the server on my desktop This is where I run into problems. I cannot find the server on my laptop nor can I connect to the desktop using just the IP. I did notice that when I start a server on either the desktop or laptop it is using the same address, I don't know if this is the issue or not, but something isn't right. When I look in my router settings the Desktop and Laptop have two separate IP's (not the same IP that the server is using though). Also when a buddy starts a server I can join with my desktop but it will not let me join with the laptop. This also happens from laptop to desktop, but I'm just trying to keep it simple to find the solution. I am using an Orbi router for the internet and both computers are hardwired into the router. Any ideas???
  4. I can't seem to find this installed on my system. Would this be under programs? I do agree that it seems this could be a CPU issue, but I don't know how. I've attached a picture of the CPU settings and the OC im doing. Let me know where I can find that Turboboost. Thanks!
  5. Sorry forgot to attach.
  6. When you say "what about the steam application tab settings while DCS is running" what exactly are you referring to? Under the application tab there isn't much. Would that change with DCS running? I've attached it for your reference.
  7. No mods installed and playing the settings I posted. Looked through the tutorial, that is more about the skatezilla product. I use that as well.
  8. Gents, Ok I have dialed in more on this VR issue and the mystery gets deeper. The following pictures are all of my settings. My friend is running the exact same settings with the exception of a few things under the NVIDIA settings that are different. Also he is running his PD in game @ 1.8 not like my 1.2. His system: i5-5930K OC to 4.3Ghz Gigabyte X99 Gaming MB 64GB DDR4 Ram nVidia 1080 Windows 10 My system: i7-7920X OC to 4.4Ghz EVGA X299 Dark MB 64GB DDR4 Ram EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 (I also tried my EVGA 2080Ti FTW) I initially had the 2080 in and thought maybe that was the problem, but we are seeing the same things with the 1080. Windows 10 We have run the same mission, him hosting or me hosting and the results are the same. He is regularly getting 45FPS on the ramp while I am only getting 16FPS. Can anyone explain why? I literally have tried everything in the last three days and tweaked every setting. I just don't know what the issue could be???
  9. UPDATE: Ok so I turned low latency mode to Ultra and confirmed my pre rendered frames are at 1. That seemed to give me a slight boost (15FPS - 24FPS on the ground in Nevada) but my GPU usage is still around 40-50% at those frames. I'm sure if my GPU was running towards 95% I would be getting better frames. I also turned off hyperthreading but that did not affect performance. By the way my buddy who is running a 1080Ti and he is getting ~45+ frames on the ground in the same mission. We are using that as our test bed to figure out why my frames are so low in comparison. His GPU usage is also at ~95% with those frames. Also when I am flying over the desert in the same mission my FPS jumps from 45-70 and GPU usage increases to 80-90%. That's what is weird about this. So why is my GPU usage low on the ground when that's when it should be working the most?! Someone please help!!
  10. Thanks for the tips. I'll check on that with process lasso.
  11. I did overclock my CPU to 4.4ghz as well. I'll double check the hyper threading. The weird part is when I am flying over a demanding area like las vegas my frames go to shit (15-20) and my GPU usage goes to ~30%. You would think it would go to 95 or so. So it seems that my GPU usage is more matching my frame rate rather than what it actually needs to do. That's the part I can't figure out.
  12. So I've been trying to dial in my settings to maximize the best FPS/performance ratio my computer can muster. I've run into quite an interesting find. When I was getting the best FPS (45+) my GPU usage was at 95%. When I was in a mission that my buddy created for Nevada I was getting around 15 on the tarmac and the GPU usage was only 35%. In the meantime he was getting 40+ FPS running at 95% GPU usage. Why would my GPU usage be running lower and therefore giving me lower FPS? Or is the GPU usage tied to the FPS with a software setting? Ultimately how do I get my GPU to run at 90-95% to give me the best FPS? Especially when my friend is getting that in the same mission. My system: i7-7820X, X299 Dark, 64G DDR4 3200 RAM, EVGA 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra, SSD, Valve Index HMD. In Steam VR I made sure my video setting resolution match my per eye setting on the Index and I have also messing with the PD (which is set at 1.2 for now), but there doesn't seem to be any change with this. Any help would be appreciated!
  13. ED, Just a couple of fixes to put on the horizon. I’m not sure if these are already in the works or not, but I thought I would provide the feedback just in case. These are not “bugs” per se as they are not modeled yet and more of a “hope you plan to implement soon” request. When you select the Dogfight/Missile Override Select switch you should be able to ‘program’ your MFDs so when you are airborne you have the setup you want. This is usually done on the ground during preflight. For example when you select dogfight you would select AIM-9 and ensure you have ACM selected. Then you select Missile Override and ensure you have RWS along with the AIM-120’s. The last thing you would do is select A-A on the ICP and do the same. Now when you are flying and select Dogfight you have everything you need on the HOTAS and don’t need to manipulate the MFDs. Also was there going to be an implementation of ‘slew’ mode when you are in ACM? Love the module, keep up the great work. Panic
  14. If you watch the trailer again of wags flying through the gulf you can actually see a small bit of movement in the stick when he turns. That seems pretty accurate. And the stick at first didn't move at all but pilots had a hard time with that so they built in about 1/8" of movement to help.
  15. I changed that .25 back to a 1 and it didn't change anything. I thought that was for the main gear.
  16. Gents, I'm having some issues with the F-14 in the hanger. I got it in there just fine, but I noticed the right main landing gear is in the up position (however the gear doors are open). Here is my code: scene.m = sceneAPI:addModel("f-14b", 0, 2.15, 0); scene.m:setArgument(0, 1); scene.m:setArgument(3, 0.25); scene.m:setArgument(5, 1); scene.m:setArgument(4, 0.25); scene.m:setArgument(6, 0.25); scene.m:setArgument(115, 1); scene.m:setArgument(116, 1); scene.m:setArgument(117, 1); local cam_level = 1.8 scene.cam = sceneAPI:addCamera(3, cam_level , 3) scene.cam:setFarClip(1000.0) scene.cam:setFov(90) scene.cam.transform:lookAtPoint(-10.0, cam_level, 0); I also noticed that the f-14 nose gear appears to be raised off the ground when the main gear aren't. Any ideas? Thanks
  17. Update Ok so I was in the loading screen stuck recently again and checked task manager. I noticed that my integrated GPU was using more resources than my 1070. I went into the Nvidia settings and set the global setting to my 1070 and also set dcs.exe to my 1070. When I tried to rejoin a multiplayer again I noticed that the integrated GPU is still higher than the 1070 (picture below). Does this mean DCS is sill trying to use the integrated graphics? Please help!
  18. ED please help!! This problem started happening last week. I am currently at a deployed location using my laptop and have been flying with my squadron pretty much the whole time. Starting last week however I can no longer join the multiplayer missions. I have before and now I just get stuck on the loading screen everytime. The weird thing was last week I when the issue started, I restarted my computer a couple of times and it worked, but then I tried to reconnect again after our mission and it got me stuck on the screen again. I can see the multiplayer game just fine and select join, but then the very next loading screen just hangs up. I have repaired, cleaned, tried all of the tricks people have mentioned in the posts and nothing is working! My laptop is a MSI with an i7-8750, 32 RAM, 1070 card and a 1 TB SSD. I use the rift as well. Please any advice will be helpful!!
  19. Thanks that definitely helps! I wish this would work with the AIRIO for VR but unfortunately I don't think it will.
  20. Not sure if this question has been asked, but if you don't have a RIO and are just using jester and you are locking targets up BVR, how do you sort? How would you select the other target? Or if you are a two ship, how does one guy get the right bandit and the other get the left or vise versa? I've looked but haven't found an answer on this yet. I hope it doesn't mean jumping in the RIO seat mid flight to do this.
  21. Gents, So I use the DCSkneeboardbuilder and love it. I know that there are multiple locations for the kneeboard for each aircraft. My question is can I remove pages from the default kneeboard? I hate cycling through a myriad of pages that I don't use just to get to the ones I do. Appreciate any help!
  22. Winwing, I'm definitely interested. I have tried most of the sticks on the market including the F-18 one by Thrustmaster. If you want a professional opinion for a review, let me know. Just PM me.
  23. UPDATE: Ok so I got it to work using the Voiceemeter banana. The problem now however is that when in the cockpit just listening to regular noise the seat is rumbling. So its rumbling with everything not just when you expect it to. How would I change this?
  24. Need some help! So I plugged the seat in and am using it in sound capture mode and even using the voicemeeter banana workaround, but I am not seeing the forcefeel in the sound items. It is plugged in and the light is flashing. Am I missing something? I have it connected to the headphone jack directly to the motherboard.
  25. New batch in stock! Get yours now if you are interested.
