  1. FCS - RESET on the left panel, is clear the BLIN code on the FCS Page. Now is dosen't work. For information if you perform a electrical reset or pull all FCS circuit breaker more than 10 seconds. The flight computer loose the last status. In fact on the BIT FCS page the FCC A and B come PBIT GO. And you need to press again to the T / O Trim because the STAB comeback at the initial position.
  2. Try right now. With Battery on, no backlight. IFEI part engine all indication are present. Fuel part nothing. the procedure of uunilenkki working well. Sorry for my mistake.
  3. Maybe yes the configuration is not same between the lot. You see that in the technical manual. I work on the last lot. I don't work for the US Navy or the Marine Corps. I know this lot have many difference with other A/C and we have a another configuration. DCS must simulate the most common lot. I am agree with that. What is true for us is not the same for other air force. But i think all people work on the hornet can share the experience. Is very good for DCS.
  4. Normal working IFEI with battery - ON is totally black (no indication) If you crank the engine without APU and the throlle is on cutte-off. You see the digit with color black-brown. During the start. You turn on the battery You start the APU After you crank, on the IFEI you see the digit with color black-brown. When the engine as started and the generator is online. The IFEI is coming with the backlight withe. At this time the dim switch, on the IFEI have not impact on the back light. CAUTION After the start (or with external power) the IFEI come everytime white is a security ( even if the mode light is on NVG or NITE – if you want change the mode you need to go on DAY and again on NVG or NITE) Engine RUN or External Power If you switch the MODE Light on NITE or NVG, the IFEI come Green, and the dim switch on the IFEI is active. IF you comeback on the DAY with the MODE Light, the IFEI come white and the dim swith is inactive. I hope is a little better so
  5. Unnilenkki you are right, a angry mechanic is dangerous. :smilewink: But you know like me, if you disconnect the plug on the bottle is not a problem. I work every days with the hornet.
  6. if you press on APU, L or R Fire on the pushbutton "READY-Disch" come with "READY" is correct and is working. After you need to press the pushbutton to discharge the fire extingisher. And the indication "DISCH" is coming. That is the basic mode. But if you press the button "READY-Disch" without battery or power. And you apply the power (battery or external power". The "READY-Disch" come directly "DISCH". The button is machenical button OFF - ON - OFF. I have try this procedure on a real aircraft.
  7. In the fire system, the pushbutton "READY-DISCH" is wrong. If you press the first time on "READY-DISCH", the light "DISCH" coming on and stay on. You need to press again to turn off, the light "DISCH". If "READY" and "DISCH" is illumate is same time. The fire extingisher is activated and this situation at generated the MSP CODE 988. Best Regard's Alex
  8. I would like to help you improve your F/A-18. I have more than 17 years of experience as an engineer on the F/A-18. In real, when you switch on the battery, the IFEI stay OFF. You need to push ENG Crank L or R to see something. The backlight of the IFEI coming only with the external power or with the generator. I saw several things to correct or improve If the TEAM DCS need more help contact me in pvt. Great job. Thanks. Alex
