That AR-15 in the Apache is the so far the best photo shot...lol

So I basically my piloting skills suck as I tried to master the KA-50 Blackshark when came out 13+ years ago back in 2008...I have not taken this bird out since and it is now collecting dust in my digital hanger...I tried it again with the UH-1 Huey and same status....however, when Mi-24P Hind came out as early access, which I just got last week, I was excited to see an AI copilot known as "Petrovich" can actually do the flying for me as long as I can get the bird in the air in some sort of steady hover and quickly jump into the front seat before the helo starts to spin out of control...lol I would quickly press "RCtrl-v" and viola, I can direct him to hover up and down, turn to any direction, and go forward and back...wow amazing! I can even make him land from a hover as long as I jump to the pilot seat and press “G” then quickly back to the front seat to tell him hover at zero feet altitude, take control of the flight and collective stick and it lands… This is amazing but I know, this is not really piloting but then I am just a casual simmer and a weekend warrior armed with just a simple cheap mad-catz joystick, however, I can finally stay in the air for over five minutes where as in the past, I would have crash and burn…I still crash occasionally if I messed up the takeoff hover...lol Does anyone else here flying the Mi-24P Hind solo using Petrovich to fly this way? If you are, are there any other features or skill sets that you may have discovered that makes Petrovich fly better so that as a human gunner, are you able to hit those ground tanks/targets?

BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) On F-14 Event
DC2009EGUC replied to DC2009EGUC's topic in Heatblur Simulations
I did google the portcls.sys but I all I got was some non relevant find on Microsoft technet forums, and one suggestion was my anti virus software could be causing the issue, of which I did disable and DCS run fine for a couple of times and when back to BSOD the third time, I guess I should have dug a little deeper...in any case thanks again my friend, I appreciate your kind response... -
I just want to also share my same sentiments here with all the F-XX drivers as I had put aside the DCS module for years or so, but with the recent holiday sales at DCS, I took the plunge again to see if the F-14B can spark my online virtual flying experience, and so far it has renewed my interest and I have been spending several hours practicing ACLS on CVN-74. Like all, I also have F-18C but easily got bored as I seem to have run in to a very steep learning curved, and set is aside collecting dust in my virtual hanger for years. But since experiencing the interface with the F-14B, this jet seems to have something different that I kept coming back and for hours since I acquired this module several days ago. The texture quality of the model is so stunning that I could just literally sit there and admire it for hours on end on the deck of the Stennis. Wow, Heatblur has really done a magnificent product, like someone mentioned in this thread, the F-14B somehow bridges the past and the present with its analog gauges, but yet so advance with ACLS, that the F-18C does not even have with its fly by wire technology. In addition, the introduction of the Jester character has me amazed as I mostly fly solo until I hone my flying skills worthy of joining online squadrons. I just wish the AI Iceman and do more than just change heading and altitude, but would be interesting if it can land, dogfight, & bomb run the jet too. The F-14B has definitely brought me back to the virtual flying simulation, brings me back as a young sailor on board CV-62 Independence watching these birds fly off during the last gulf war… I just hope to not crash this puppy when cockpit starts to shake violently, (any tips will be highly appreciated), I guess this is where no fly by wire self-correct, but got to learn somehow…lol

Digital Speed & Altitude Indicator Inside Cockpit View
DC2009EGUC replied to DC2009EGUC's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Thank You SIR!...That is exactly what I am looking for, but the man a beer  -
Is there a way to display the air speed and altitude information while inside the cockpit view mode just like viewing from the external mode? I am having a hard time reading the analog air speed gauge/indicator with having to really zoom in and the altitude gauge/indicator would be nice to have the same digital readout. thanks, DC

BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) On F-14 Event
DC2009EGUC replied to DC2009EGUC's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Thank so much, I did removed/uninstalled all my virtual audio cables and no more BSOD...only thing is I am unable to run my SDR (Software Defined Radio) Ham Radio network...oh well I will just need to run SDR on my other workstation. By the way, how did you know the virtual audio cable was the culprit? Thank you so much again and let allow me to buy you a virtual drink online...lol  -
I have been having random BSOD while starting DCS World & Beta 2.5. What I get when it goes to BSOD is a "portcls.sys as the source of the failure and I search the web and I am unable to determine what this critical stop code is doing. I am able to run all my other games and programs without any issues, until I purchase the F-14 Are there any F-14 drivers here that are having the same issues? Attached are my system specs: systeminfo.txt

The stutters and pauses are just killing this game
DC2009EGUC replied to Capn kamikaze's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Try and read this post...basically, turn off wired & wireless network and launch DCS... Here is the posting with some details: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=201436&page=3 -
Thank you Sir!!! Your are the "Man"...give the man a free drink on me...lol I have tried all sorts of trick on my new PC and could not fix the stuttering issue...so I tried and tested your suggestion, boom...no more stutter. I was going crazy trying all sorts of suggestions, I basically gave up until i saw this post...wow, of all the technical places to check, the last thing I would suspect is the network Internet connection...thank you Mariner3302, now I can play the solo missions with ease. Now with regard to multiplayer, I agree, that would for another day to resolved...
