  1. Well that was short lived, worked great! Changed nothing. Then fly again a little later and it no longer works?

    Do you have DiCE installed?

  2. I tried it with the curves maxed out to 100, the drift still occurs.
I cannot help much more apart from to check that your joystick calibration is good in the VKB software - I am sure the early access sight will be further tuned during early access.

It would also help if you could post a video showing the degree of drift you are experiencing

  3. I am having the exact same issue - I deleted all bindings in the Aiming station page, and the only two inputs mapped are Aiming Station Left/Right (Joystick) and Aiming Station Up/Down (Joystick) to a POV on my stick and the drift still happens. Setting a deadzone does absolutely nothing to solve the issue (I tried a deadzone of '90').

It looks like the motion of the aiming device is based off the velocity of the input, rather than the axis value ; this would make sense to have it working that way when using a mouse as you would calculate the speed of motion based on the displacement of the mouse cursor, but not for a POV.
Why not use the whole stick as the controller? This is why the Aiming Station is a separate set of control bindings so you can use the joystick to do this and it will have more control than a POV

  4. Interesting - I will try mine again later with the new patch but had the sight rock steady last time I tried

UPDATE - I have now tried and can get it steady if I use my joystick without any curves or deadzone (it takes very gentle movements when moving slowly to do this). However, adding curves to it made it easier to get it steady.

The same goes for both the mouse and the mini-stick I have (it is the Deltasim mod on my Warthog Throttle). For these I set the curves on each axis to 100 for the mini-stick and 25 for the mouse. The mouse is definitely the trickiest to use for me but then I  haven't spent a lot of time tuning it because I will never use this method of control

  5. Hi,

newbie in DCS and VAICOM & VA so still a lot to learn.
Someone knows how best to use VA for altering items in DED on the F16?
For instance using the UFC buttons with voice in VR?
You will either have to write your own commands or download a profile - Bailey produces some very good ones (search the forums for Bailey profiles).

You can then either daisychain this profile to Vaicom or vice versa. To do this pick the profile you want to be top in VA, click on the pencil icon and then on the edit profile button (next to the profile name) on the next screen.

On the window that appears there should be an 'include commands from these profiles' option - use this to add the other profile(s) you want loaded at the same time

  6.
What would be useful to know? I will try and replicate it tomorrow evening. Tonight, I needed Vaicom to work for a squadron flight.
Please could you post your Vaicom log file from a session where you have an issue. That will allow us to see if there are any clues

  7. Top. Even when daisy-chaining was turned off, switching profiles to use a commands not in VP would also cause the issue.
Sounds more like a VA issue to me - I had a few funnies from the last VA update

  8. I tried it daisy-chained to Baileys f18 and again with my own custom profile. Same thing.  I also would sometimes see it recognize the command Wilco. Hook up sounds nothing like that.
I always have the option to allow other commands to take place while it is processing turned off. was never an issue.

I will have a look at Baileys profile later and see what I can find - is Vaicom the top profile or the daisy-chained one?

  9. The sudden move of 2.7.1 to stable surprised me. Normally it takes up to a year or more for that to happen. One month from release to stable is rare.
2.5.6 was over a year old before it became stable.

I addition to the MP issue listed above, all new releases go to beta first. As long as you don't want to buy anything, you can stay on stable.
You say you only play warbirds, well, there's some really cool stuff on the horizon and more in the works, including some third party Pacific Theatre assets coming soon.
I am "chomping at the bit" waiting for the F4U and the associated naval and ground units coming with the new Marianas Island map. (second release)
Then there is the de Havilland Mosquito. I want that one too. The point is, you can stay in your little corner and wait for months to get something new,
or join the OB and progress along with the rest of us. I too only wanted to play warbirds. I wasn't interested in anything beyond the Korean war era, but
I joined OB when the P-47 came out 'cause I wanted it now. The only reason that I still have 2.5.6 is because of a WW1 mod that came out last year.
I really like it, but it's not compatible with  2.7.

OB doesn't cost any more money, so what are you waiting for? When the Corsair and the Mosquito come out, I can buy them right away.
I won't have to wait 6 months or more for them to go to the stable server.

2.5.6 was the exception because of the major performance issues it introduced. I would say the gap this time was far more normal

  10. This is definitely a new issue since the last VA/VP updates. I spent the last two hours trying to troubleshoot what it could be. It seems to be connected with having more than one profile installed. Whether you daisy chain or just switch profiles, it causes the Listening Resumed/Listening Suspended to become reversed. This happens on both joystick and keyboard bindings.

This also happens with dcs not running.

Which profile(s) do you have daisy-chained and I will see if I can replicate.

I have my own profile daisy-chained and have not had any issues with that. The message looks like one of the commands has the option to allow other commands to take place while it is processing turned off

  11. Has new commands been specified yet for the iceman new 'navigate to steerpoint' and 'orbit steerpoint', as well as lantirn? I saw the update today but did not see any new document updates to tell us the new command sentences
I don't think so. The .3 update was to resolve the listening suspended issue some users were encountering

  12. Open control settings, and in the drop down choose Hind Aiming Station or similar. One can ONLY change axis there. I really like the way they have solved this with the Hind and Petrovich!
Anyway, seems others including me have some issues with drift. Some have tried to remove all the axis, and then rebinding the ones you're gonna use, and that might fix it. Haven't tried it myself yet, but I'll give it a shot.

    Thanks! Hopefully better tomorrow!

@MAXsenna is right - the aiming station is a separate set of controls (like most modules have game and sim profiles). If drift is an issue I think you can solve it by adding a deadzone to the axis mappings for the Aiming Station

  13. Thanks for the test mission. It still isn't working the way it should. I have to rekey the mike to get he tower to respond to my calls. I'm not getting the usual crackle after releasing the PTT switch and i'm not getting the RLY light onthe PTT tab in Voice Attack Configuration panel. Is it working for you?
I didn't go for a flight last night, but sitting on the runway was a perfect (and instant) response from the tower

  14. Thanks, but no reason to reinstall. Won't change nothing. It's just a folder in the VA folder, and for the same reasons in my previous post, it works with older versions.
I tested some more, it actually worked pretty good with the Tomcat I got to day. Jester was super!

@MAXsenna - welcome to the world of variable geometry (finally)

  15. When you say it pauses does that mean DCS freezes? If so, can you kill it with task manager or do you have to log out?

What airframe are you trying? If you load the .miz file up here I am happy to take a look at it for you

  16. Are you trying with 'old' missions? I have had this issue in the past and opening the mission in the ME and then flying it from there solves the problem.

The Hind is a new module and not officially supported yet so I wouldn't be surprised if there are currently issues

  17. Are you trying this with the inbuilt quick missions?

I started off by trying one of these (Caucasus takeoff) and it was a 50 second delay between speaking and the command processing. I then created a new takeoff from Batumi mission in the ME, dropped on to the runway and the response was instant.

Following this I then opened the Instant action mission via ME and hit fly without saving any changes, once again the response was instant. I then saved a copy (without changing anything else in the ME) and have attached it to this post to see if it works for you

    Yak-52 Caucasus Takeoff - Copy.miz

  18. OK, i'm in the Yak-52, when trying to get information to and from ATC when pressing the respective PTT button, i get the correct information on my viacom config PTT page but no RLY light comes on and i get no response from ATC. It only happens in the Yak, no other module is affected. Thoughts please? i have tried deleting the lua file from the script file in my save games folder but still no change. Also, it seems like some one is playing around in the back seat....lol. i get these noises when i am in the front seat but not in the back....weird. i havetried uninstalling and reinstalling both Viacom pro and the Yak-52 module both no change.
Is this on the ground, in the air, or both?

Will hopefully try mine this evening

  19. One thing has just been suggested on Discord from someone who had this problem. They said that it cleared when they reassigned their joystick in VA (not just the button but the whole, enable joystick) - could someone who has the problem try this and report whether there is any difference?

  20. 4 hours ago, =Panther= said:

Experiencing the Listening Suspended as well. I noticed that VAICOM stops listening immediately and goes into RLY mode if the in game radio isn't tuned to a frequency with units (aka ATC, Tanker, etc), regardless if SRS is running or not. If I have radios tuned to a frequency with units it works with no issues. My hurdle at the moment is there will be no more talking with ground crew until power is on the aircraft via VA/VAICOM unless using the keyboard menus...yuck.

I'm using MP / VOIP Control / Dynamic Switching, tried the TX Link with and without MP Only, and I didn't like the double tapping requirement.

@=Panther=Do you have an Interphone (TX5) switch mapped? If so, does that talk to the ground crew without the suspended issue?
