Hi all. Is there a MOD or addon, we can use to get an AWACS or tactical screen? Something like that one in other sims (Falcon4AF -> AWACS, IVAO, ...). This could be useful to get a deeper Situational awareness and increase simulation quality. Thanks in advance. Bye

I'm not absolutely sure about what you said on BS, because of what someone wrote on the changelog in 1.0.1a patch. Bye PS: maybe for Spinter's problem there is an other explanation: investigating in the event viewr results in some useful information about Windows 7 windows' manager new feature: some game (like Falcon4 Af and even BS in certain condition) can be affected ... stll investigating.

Hi all. I've just done some test and found something interesting about NVidia drivers: even if my setp didn't cause the same problem the Spinter's one did, i found howto reproduce the "stunt" and maybe the problem can be addressed to the Nvida drivers: something is broken in a 64 bit environment (maybe in the italian localization). On the same hardware (Cpu Intel Core2 Duo 3,16 GHz, Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L, 2 X 2 GB DDR2 Kingstone RAM 1066 MHz, Western Digital 500 GB SATA2 HDD, Nvidia GT9800) Windows Xp 32 bits Ita has NO problem and Win7 64 bits Ita present STUNTs and microfreeze, with graphical anomalies too. Spinter's hardware is VERY different from that I used (He has I7 and hardware certified for Win7), but results are quite the same. I think HT is not an "old" techniques and DCS-BS does use this feature and affinity too (using more than one core at the same time), but maybe it's a better idea to check if the process dcs.exe is REALLY using more than one core, using task manager (right click con the process and set the affinity, if not correctly used). IMHO it's absolutely a nonsenso to use more than 2 COREs (Intel core2) with such games, because of the applciation COULD not use all cores. Bye MaxTow

Well ... I'm forced to be VERY surprised about Panzertard suggestion: disabling HT in such processor seems like reducing a Ferrari to a Ford behaviour ! :-) Please heads up: I'm not talkng about Panzertard suggestion value, but I'm only surprised to be told Black Shark cannot take advantage by a common HT technology. Ok that's all about HT, but is unuseful to solve my friend's problem. Let's talk about audio drivers: obviously a legacy or misconfigured (misprogrammed) driver CAN slow down performances, BUT Spinter told me (by phone) there is a STUNT effect every 20/30 seconds and I think this cannot be addressed to a SINGLE driver or a IDE emulation SATA controller (mainboard vendors usually suggest to set IDE emulation to AVOID such problem, even if very low gap of performance can be registered). I would like to ask BS gurus if this can of problem can be addressed to this set of parameters (I mean: alltogether) - Windows 7 64 bits italian - Nvidia 64 bits driver - 8 cores: I'm not sure BS has been deeply tested in such an environment and IMHO 64bit, 8 cores development request very specific technics and technology. please be patient with this friend of mine: language is ALWAYS a problem when trying to explain a problem. Still looking for a problem, BUT, IMHO chipset driver update obviously didn't solve the problem: still debugging with SATA ones, even if when Win7 is YET installed, i have some doubts drivers can correctly updated, because of some low-level kernel installation-time configuration. Hi all. I've got a couple of problem. 1) sometimes (not always !!) when I set the affinity (CPU1,2,3) I'm unable to get back to 3D world: after switching to the task manager and set the affinity even if I click on the Bcs Bs application parked in the taskbar, I can hear sounds and understand the game is up and running, but I'm unable to get back into the cockpit (3D world). Frustrating !!! This happens *ONLY* when in multiplayer. EDIT: when I click onto the Bs application parked in the taskbar I can see the yellow cross indicating the mouse pointer inside the game ... but obviously I'm unable to click on switches or esc the game and start again. 2) sometimes when a finish a mission and disconnect from the server (multi), the game crashes. My hardware configuration is: - Motherboard: Gigabyte P35C-DS3R - RAM: 4 GB DDR2 1066 Mhz - CPU : Intel Quad Core 4 X 2.4 GHz - VGA: NVidia GeForce 9600GT (latest NVidia Drivers) - Windows vista Ultimate 32 bit - Russian version of Dcs BS - Saitek X52 Obviously I have *NO* problems with other games (Falcon4Af, Fs9, FsX, racing ... ), so an hardware failure /incompatibility should be excluded. I think this is impossible or better THIS should be impossible, 'cause ED would have a lot of problems if someone made a bug fix for the english version and not the same for the russian one. But I repeat: this seems to me IMPOSSIBILE: the version SHOULD be the same !!! Hi Davide "MaxTow"

Hi all. I think Dcs Bs is a greatest sim, to tell the truth THE BEST And $50,00 is *not* an invalid price for such a product !!! (IMHO) BUT i think that ED should not negate that so many ILLEGAL copies have been produced and should think at WHOM (like me, but obviously I'm not alone) preferred to buy a russian *legal* version, without waiting for Feb2009 and being glad to support this wonderful sim, since the first version. Now I think ED should only consider to give those people the chance to get the english version with an UPGRADE license (less than $50,00), considering they already paid for the first version. It's ok to pay for the translation and for the addons !!! $50,00 is *not* a great price, but I think a well-coordintated sale-behaviour should be part of this process. This is *only* my opinion and, obviously I will be forced to buy the english version *if* the patching level and addons availability for this version will become available faster than the for russian one.
