  3. I'm curious how the A10C manages to operate in foul weather. Specifically, the Mission Generator threw me into a situation where the base clouds were at an insane 900 feet. Trying to see out in front by more than a mile with the TGP was impossible, which made target runs incredibly challenging. Is the A10C made for this type of environment? With the technology it has onboard, I'm finding that even heavy cloud cover such as what I encountered renders it all useless.

  6. I found that in Win7 I had to run TrackIR as Admin to get the keys to work.
  7. Out of the stock missions, which one would be good to use as a performance test? I've been looking for one with a lot going on in the backgraound but have yet to find one that will tax my CPU.
  8. Not required, just install FC2 over lomac.
  9. The ATC in this is not nearly as sophisticated as FSX, or even Falcon for that matter. * The initial bearing that the tower provides is to guide you to intercept the ILS beam. Once you are near the beam, you would use the ILS to steer you towards the runway heading and the tower will call out your glideslope. Using ILS, instrument landing can be done as I have had no problems. This is the US birds though, not sure of the ruskie capabilities. * Not much more to it. Tower won't even direct you if you are on a collision course as I found out. My wingie and I crossed paths very close without a peep from the tower.
  10. The 65D certainly makes the job easier. Looking through the 6x zoom spotting out some highlighted SAMs and taking them down makes eyeballing the remaining targets much easier. Who actually uses the 65K? No zoom and no IR, seems completely inferior.
  11. Super cool read! Hopefully you take the time to keep this continuing. Interesting though, your A-10 mission 3 is completely different than mine. Does this campaign have a branching mission structure like Black Shark?

  14. Have you tried re-assignming the key command? I've found several key commands do not work as advertised and had to re-assign them to get the desired function.

  16. 4-6 vs 1? Unless you're guns only you can expect to punch out at some point. Or you just might need more buttons. Nowadays missile avoidance needs between 70 and 80 buttons due to inflation.
  17. There should be a key command "numpad enter" I believe that is set to "unlock target". Check your key assignments. Also, I think pressing A2G mode again will unlock and recenter the designator. Edit: unlocking doesn't seem to work right when in CCRP mode, pressing the "lock" button unlocks it though.
  18. Funky, all is well. Quick little restart after a hard freeze and things are operating normally. Love it when it's an easy fix.

  20. I've been able to fly missions with no problem, but when I got to the second A-10 Campaign mission, the sim now refuses to let me fly. Any type of mission I choose sends me straight to a debrief screen, even after reinstall. HELP!
  21. Streaming issues indeed, to the point where nothing is coming though. Have to watch it on the recap I guess
  22. Redtail, Not sure which switch you're using, but I found on mine it was best to use epoxy. Placing this glue around the edges of the switch, away from the pole itself, secured it very well. Glad to see others are having success with this! My pursuit of moving this towards a professional product is on hold for a little while. Real life junk (taxes) are currently screaming and sponging the majority of my funds for the near term.
  23. In the controller assignments look at the axis assignments assigned to your joystick. If there is something for the rudder, other than the pedals, clear the assignment.
  24. Does your joystick have the twist assigned to the rudder? I found that BS assigned the rudder to both the pedals, and the joystick, causing some unwanted rudder action.
  25. The cockpit indication for the parking brakes is also on the backside of the cyclic.
