Hi Guys, Don't know if this is me, but I notice that when in cockpit I cannot un-cage the SAI with mouse but have to use the key commands first to get this to work, once I have done that the mouse works fine over it. Is this correct or am I missing something? Timm

Hi Guys, Need some info here please. I am currently using one of Mitches textures and noticed that when parked up along side other Sharks they are in the Default "Standard" texture, now what I have done is changed the default texture to the one I am using so that they are all the same (see below) but what I did notice is that these texture still show the Red Star. Question: Is it possible to disable this marking (Star) so it does not show up on the others? Timm

Hi Guys, Is it possible to change the font/colour to the default textures. IE On most of the sharks you can change the aircraft's ID to any number you want via the mission control panel but is it possible to change the colour and the font if you want ? Timm

Hi Guys, Just recently I posted a reply on changing the HMS colour, is it possible in any way to change the movable mouse + from the yellow to lets say the night HUD colour as well ? Timm

Hi Bud, Thanks for that. Just checking the bank now. Timm

Hi Guys, Spooky I got nothing on line 71, mine is Line 73. Timm
-
Hi, You can. I changed mine to that of the "Night HUD" colour. Which has just soften the colour down. Have a look here c:/ka-50/scripts/aircraft/Ka-50/cockpit/materials Line 73 and just add the colour you want. Make sure you use notepad ++ and not the default version. Timm

Saitek X52 Profile vs. In-Game Controls
Timm replied to C. Patrick's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi Kutz, Thanks for info I had a look at that link, and tell you the honest truth I got a bit lost in all of it. I also took out all the commands in Arcade mode as well just to see if that helps. Touch wood I have started BS and no crashes so far. One thing you mention is take out and replace the "newInput.dll" where can I get a new one ? Mine is some 500kb in size. Timm -
Saitek X52 Profile vs. In-Game Controls
Timm replied to C. Patrick's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi Guys Interesting topic regarding SST vs BS config. I have used both Saiteks latest SST drivers (Beta), Taken out any key commands in BS and keyed in commands via the SST and for some reason when using these it causes my PC to crash and does a re-boot. So I have reverted back to doing everything via the setup within BS. Now if any one knows way this happens I would great full. Kurtz, I have downloaded your profile and will give that a go and see what happens. One thing I have learned is if you are going to use your key commands in BS save your profile it saves a lot of time if you need to install again. Timm -
Upcoming ModMan 7.1 - Adding new skin automatically - skin artist please read
Timm replied to Skypat's topic in DCS Modding
Hi Snack, OK Lets help. First off do you see the texture/skin shown up as green when you open MODMAN ? (Pic 1) All Installed OK Now un-install and they should go red The files are all in one folder within modman called "addons_dcs" ie C:/ModMan/addons_dcs you should see the texture you are installing in there. You can delete the file from here if you wish and it won't show up in ModMan. Now once you have deleted it with in ModMan it does what it says deletes it from the system completely so make sure you do a back up. Timm -

Hi Guys, It's great that when replying to someones help you get info that helps you (as the replier) as well. What I'm trying to say is. I always used the HUD mod color "Mint green" now just recently I have re-done my own cockpit mod and for some reason this add on just did not work. Now using the info given by 159th_Viper and ZaltysZ I have opened up the mod version HUD color taken (copied) the line using notepad ++ and over written a colour which I don't use and hey presto I am now getting the "mint green" effect back. Thanks alot guys you have help me out as well. Timm

Hi Bud, I use the night settings on the HUD, this one gives a nice balance during day light, as you can see from my shot it goes well against ground and air. But there are some other colors over at Lockon website. you need to be registered to get these. To the answer on your second question I will pass on that one. Timm Night Settings Lockon

Hi Bud, Thanks for that, all sorted now got a nice cockpit sound setup. Timm
-
Hi Guys, Need some info/help here please. Now I have turned down the in-cockpit sound via the option window in BS,and great engine sound reduced, click sound reduced, cannon can't hear at all which I would think being an external sound and with my helmet on I would not hear any way. OK question time : When I launch my missiles I can hear them being launched in fact they give off a very high launch sound from inside the cockpit, is there a way I could reduce the sound down to a more quieter sound in the cockpit, like that of the cannon but keep the more realistic sound when viewed from the outside ? Timm

Hi, OK I have sent it over to Lockonfiles, they just need to approve and you should be good to go. One thing there is no image showing whens it's uploaded, it will be just down as "New External Cockpit Lights". Timm

Hi Guys, Just recently I have been doing a new cockpit and gone with the white night light effects, now and again I will do the quick method of starting the Shark up and have a look from the outside, and I noticed that the dials turned brown which is OK if you are using brown night lights. What I have done is a mod showing plain dials after start up which to me is better in day light hours. Would there be any takers if I put up as a MODMAN add on ?.Timm Power Off Power On

Hi Guys, Just thought I would post this up if you are not aware. Tom Allensworth, CEO and Publisher of AVSIM, today issued the following announcement; “We regret to inform the flight simulation community that on Tuesday, May 12, AVSIM was hacked and effectively destroyed. The method of the hack makes recovery difficult, if not impossible, to recover from. Both servers, that is the library / email and web site / forum servers were attacked. AVSIM is totally offline at this time and we expect to be so for some time to come. We are not able to predict when we will be back online, if we can come back at all. We will post more news as we are able to in the coming days and weeks. END Very Very Sad. Timm

Hi Guys, Just a quick question. Now I don't know if anyone has noticed this but for some reason the HUD MOD ie the Mint Green and the Amber White HUD which you can add to BS don't work with the latest Sharkpit version 1.4 from Lockon in fact they didn't work with the other versions either. Could anyone have a lookee at this and see what could be the cause. Timm

Hi Guys, Nice work on the suit, but for anyone who still likes the olive (default) version I have had ago at adding a map to his knee pad slot. If any one would like. Timm

Hi Guys, Need help here. Doe's anyone here know of anyone at "Lockonfiles"? I registered some time back, but have lost my password, e-mail address recognized, tried to have a new PW sent and comes up with new PW been sent to my address but nothing (no filters on either). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Timm

Hi Bud, I think it's a Modman problem as well. I have taken out MN and try it without. Very strange as before I did my re-install the PC I never had any problems. Timm
