  1. This is not a tip but wrong info. I hope delevero would edit the title thou I value his effort. It could waste someone's time.
  2. NO VISTA, NO AFFINITY BENEFIT. Like it or not, BS needs vista. :(
  3. Don't miss Unified MOD installer 1.1 at AAA with full 6-dof support. It's a whole new game it's almost keeping me away from BS for now. Two great sims at the moment and I don't have infinite time. Quite happy moment for a simmer.
  4. It's for throttle levers but I rarely use it. But positioning of buttons quite goes well with Targeting Mode Controls Panel so I use them for it, very effective.
  5.
  6. OK Huh? :huh:That's what I call 'hardware issue'. You gotta find out which part is causing driver problem and have to resolve it. Vista should run fine without blue screen or runtime error even without 100% perfect driver support. So I presume that you're having some issue more than driver level. In case you're in overclock, you gotta go back to default clock first etc. Hope you find what's the cause. I admit Vista still sucks in driver support due to lazy hardware vendors(not just MS' ) but it's soooo much great in BS performance.
  7. What is bsod? If it's blue screen or quit to desktop, Then maybe you have some hardware problem with your PC. Resolve it first. AA benefit would be placebo or marginal at most. If you cannot apply affinity trick in VISTA, then you're having huge performance issue so AA 8x won't give you any meaningful difference.
  8. V. I. S. T. A. and dual core affinity set script if you're still with XP.
  9. Ummm.. **** you *****. What a *****. You won't do anything right in bs. Give it up.
  10. Why someone would persuade you for buying masterpiece at a giveaway price. Spend where? Best sim that would be out 1 or 2 in a decade. There are so damn many reviews, blogs, and infos about BS. Thinking over and over but it's so much idiotic manner that I can't pass over this thread.
  11. Oh yeah, at that time I was f***ing new. Simple Landig on FARP took 30 minutes then fighting 'reset trimmer' Is it better? :D I just wanted to give you an advice. ;)
  12. Whatever joystick you have, CH, Saitek, or MS, you don't need reset trimmer. when I was new to BS, I would use it thinking it was necessary. Now I don't simply have that button assigned in any button. Anytime you move and change attitude, press Trimmer all the time. When you don't need to change your attitude, just release the trimmer button. With 3 autopilot switch on + trimmer hold, you can do anything that actuall pilot can do. Simple, you don't need 'reset trimmer' button. It just makes you harder to fly BS.
  13. Those are in-game track format so it won't be played by any kind of media player other than game itself. Personally I recorded all of them with Fraps and encoded into media files and enjoyed on PC & Mobile phone over and over again. Heck, I learned many things making all of them in media files. I hope devs to host the media files like Producer's Notes since people like me cannot host big files. (But we have Youtube! )
  14. Yep, this is one of a few bugs in BS. I can't use zoom function in night missions.
  15. That air speed indicator is useless in low speed since it *maybe* read speed like in fixed wing aircraft. So in slow & not straight flight, it easily fail to deliver correct speed. It's realistic feature.
  16. Thank you Shrubbo, what I was ranting at..was CH, not you obviously. Actually I was messing with one of CH throttle remodelling for arc move and broke one at the time. (I had 2 of em, oh, now it's only one.)
  17. Sarcasm won't help us anything, and you. Real pilots do not fly with PC, either. So what are you doing here? To mock? And I fly with a Microsoft.
  18. If you can't land or something without FD and you don't even trim then I understand what is your problem. You were fighting autopilot. You don't fly *right*(? in realistic manner) but that's your choice so have it your way. OK, FD is off for me and I do all maneuvers ok and response is good pressing trim button. Just thought if there were anything I missed.
  19. Then you never benefit 50%~70% fps improvement for remaining BS experience. As anyone can see in my previous posts, I was one of Vista-hater-basher-XP forever guy but after BS experience, I really like Vista now. Even overall OS environment other than BS affinity effect is far better than I imagined. You should discard prejudice. Without affinity trick, BS is just unplayable BS to me.
  20. One question here. Is it realistic way of flying? I heard real KA-50 pilots almost never use FD. And for example, if they happen to perform airshow or needing extreme maneuver to outperform enemy chopper :D, would they turn FD on for loose autopilot limit even if they don't use FD most of ordinary(including combat) flight?
  21. What I do need is NOT super delicate control. In real a/c, or even with my saitek throttle quad, I can roughly feel where it is without looking at it. But with CH throttle, using it for 5 years, I can NEVER feel it. With heel of hand tip, sorry, I won't buy it. I like to grab it. I DON'T HAVE ANY SINGLE CLUE IF MY LEVER IS UP HIGH OR DOWN LOW WITH CH THROTTLE. ALL OTHER THROTTLE CONTROLLERS IN REAL & SAITEK, IT'S NOT. I CAN EASILY FEEL AND CONTROL COLLECTIVE WITH SAITEK THROTTLE WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT OR THOSE CHEAT DISPLAY TIPS! THE DIFFERENCE IS SO MUCH OBVIOUS! I love sturdiness & software of CH but making throttle move complete linear was their big fault, like ball crushing gap of CH rudder, oops and the for-gorilla-hand Fighter stick.
  22. Just by that single bar, I'm becoming a kid again? As long as I don't have proper collective controller, this is necessary. (Considering X52 pro throttle but it doesn't have nice button layout it seems.) Hope you hard core simmers withstand my cheats. :D
  23. I did it. Thank you for kind answers and thanks Frederf for picking exact file. Another .lua edit!!
  24. OK, you can just tell me it's impossible. (finally, something lua can't edit. :D ) But I fogot to ask this. What is the blinking B and A at right in control indicator? I see it of no use and quite hindering.
