RVE Tito have you tried R-77 since Advanced proportional navigation update? It was about the time the MiG-29 PFM was finished that it was added. Of course an ER is a much longer stick, but it has greater parity now against maneuvering targets

They have talked about that recently, I think the word they used in the newsletter was General Flight Model. It was made to sound like it’ll abide by physics

They have said hefofd they can’t do flyable J-15, only AI for now. I don’t think a J-11A/J-11B has been officially counted out unless it’s just my Flanker bias mis remembering

It has been decided, they have said separate .exe for a while. They said airplanes will be identified in servers as L-39 or L-39 MAC as an example, it’s all up to mission designer

I never take R-27ER. Prefer to stay light and clean with R-77. Yes it denies me super long range, but with more fuel from hauling less drag and weight and going active I feel more comfortable getting a little closer. To me getting a BVR kill past 25km is pretty situational. Different strokes for different folks

I’m sure you are tired of me but I couldn’t help and post some pictures I found, I think i have a problem. There are examples of the air brakes as well as examples of weathering. I don’t know if contrast is enhanced or how much, hopefully an okay reference for liveries. Also the only picture I have found of the gun firing

Brochure range for LD-10 is 60km! While I can imagine taking it with C-802, I think it would pair nicely with GB-6 and TSA bomblets.
I too have been wondering about any link between HUD and rwr. While I understand if there is no HUD indication of RWR threat azimuth, it would be pretty amazing if there was

Yeah, it has been a very long development for this plane. Most Grumman pictures are dated 1987, funny to think if that was when design was frozen

Yes laser guided and can carry I think 14 per pod on all wing stations but wingtip pylons, pop sci article for 2014 Zhuhai show says

The nose strut is also pretty soft, good for rough field but bottoms out if you’re not gentle during landing

Most likely intentional, the pilot aero brakes for a bit. Vertical descent being low and not slamming the nose wheel down is the way to do it. I’m sure it has happened in real life with this airframe but most pilots try to preserve their reputation and don’t share the videos:)

That's an interesting question really makes me think what planes aside from some J-8s in PLAAF stock can use the PL-11?

Good find Lamko! Explains how that evolved. Wonder if they spin like BLU-108. EDIT: looks like retracting fins for spin? Very simple and practical
I have also found a few things, MiG-21/F-7 tanks have been tested at least for center pylon. I know we probably couldn’t hope for it with Deka’s unless late Block II functionality is added. I’m sure it takes a software change for SMS to know what it’s carrying. Interesting none the less for lower drag load out

Here’s the PT-04 mentioned both painted and un painted. Interesting the cente structure is not green with primer(I assume) like other un painted hulls. Other photos for reference, I really hope we get an unpainted livery someday:)
