you’ll have to upload a different file.

The economics of modules
If one were to commission a module what would be a reasonable ball-park figure for something like the community developed A4, or a limited FC3 module, versus a full study sim like the Hornet or Tomcat?so what do you think?
are the numbers posted so far large enough for your module?

Haven't noticed any issues yet.
me either.
works with everything i have.
a “non-event” to be honest.

we were so wrong about the rift s.
could we be wrong about the reverb too?
-
Glad you figured that out.
doesn’t the rift always use vsync? i thought it was part of the rift rendering pipeline and not optional.

Do I need 32GB of Memory now?
Just about EVERY app phones home and transfers stuff. And because it's encrypted, you can't really see whats in it. I could go through the trouble of getting the ephemeral keys to try and decode the TLS 1.2/3 packets, and then try to re-engineer any binary bits, but at some point it seems pointless.yep.
that’s why some of these threads make me smile.

VR IMPROVEMENTS
hold tight. the changes are on the way.
they will post an update when it’s ready.

i’d be surprised if DCS doesn’t work with the new headsets.
can you explain again why it won’t?
-
it’s part of the fun when pre-ordering.
you’re getting off easily. i had to wait 7 months for a car, once.
-
lol. BING?
Bill said it’s part of the operating system.

Mine shipped today from Amazon, but saying arrival on Thursday. I have prime so should be 2 day shipping... maybe it will arrive sooner
it might, but amazon usually includes your “prime” status in its delivery estimate calculations.

posts and opinions go back and forth and not everyone uses the same options or configuration.
it’s tricky to know what to believe.

it would be interesting to know, how good the experience is when ASW has to kick in, resulting in only 40fps compared to the legacy rifts 45fps.
it’s barely a 11% difference, so probably not that noticeable.

Why so many buying the Rift S with that potato resolution at 80 Hz? That's the least impressive HMD out of them all.
least impressive on paper, but it reviews well when actually used.
you can pick the paper winner if that’s important.

Yeah those fueled alot of speculation on the Index
people love hype and there was sure a lot of it going around.

GPU or CPU?
Good thing my my 9700k doesn't HTannoying for sure, but it’s doubtful your wife would install bad software on your machine.
(i’m assuming you wouldn’t do it yourself)
-
Why? DCS doesn't multicore much.
but dude, it’s great for “sticking to the man”. blaze your own trail.

so much unknown about these headsets and yet we know so much!
anyone want to pick my next stock purchase?
-
I wonder if the new round of Chinese tariffs is going to raise the price of VR headsets?
not if it’s manufactured in the USA with American materials and labor. lol.

1809 here, no problems at all.
same here. i keep up to date and have the latest release and all patches.
for those having issues, are all of your peripheral drivers up date?
gpu? sound card? usb drivers?

Windows ultimate power plan
for games that are intermittent in cpu usage it can help performance to keep the cpu clock maxed out with that option.... but dcs is not one of those games. :)
dcs always uses all of your cpu, so you won’t see any perf difference in dcs

Index specs released
Probably coding inside-out support for a camera arrangement like that would lead to them being sued by Microsoft or Oculus (pretty sure there are patents), but if that stuff is open source, Valve still has it on the feature list and is safe.
so it was a business decision to spend r&d time and resources on a feature they can’t use or charge for, and instead, absorb the costs and give it away for free on the hope gamers will write software for it, which they won’t be able to monetize?
are you sure?
it doesn’t sound like a very good business plan. i’d be surprised if valve made a mistake like that.
