  1. "how i can get my hotas warthog stick, in game, to fly level, for some reason it keeps wanting to climb, and i have to keep having to push the stick forwards to level out" One word: TRIM! The Warthog needs liberal use of the trim hat. Wait, let's just say flying any aircraft needs regular adjustment of trim.
  2. Hey Bahger. Flew your mission a few times yesterday. Will fly more today. I like it! Fun, simple (but not too simple), multiple facets (air drop of FAC, fast-movers watching your back), very nice. I did bump the fuel a bit as the first time I flew I ended up landing with maybe 200lbs left. Was sweating it the last few miles! Also, and this is a point for mission creators in general, we need to be sure all needed frequencies are in the briefing. The flight frequency in this case. Really, the ME should automatically put that in the "mission data" section (or wherever else is appropriate). Unless you go into the editor and look for yourself you have to guess once you are in flight. Also, and I know this is operator error, but I had problems getting the GBU-10 to release to the FAC's laser designator. Need to study that procedure more and practice. All in all, excellent work! I know I intend to use this as motivation to create missions myself and I hope other folks do so as well.
  3. To answer your question: most definately YES! I had an X45 for a few years. Flew mostly MSFS, IL-2, CFS, and it served fairly. It started getting sloppy and a little just plain old and I decided to upgrade. Was a toss up between a Cougar and a CH setup. Ended up going with CH (stick, throttle, pedals, MFP) and love it. Will get their A-10 throttle when they release it. (yes, when, not if. keep hope alive.) The build quality and support of CH gear is top-notch. Good people and personal support. Can't beat it. Now, about that CH Warthog throttle... :music_whistling:
  4. Nvidia Surround requires two GTX 400+ in SLI. I think dooom is looking for a three-monitor solution without buying two new video cards. I doubt that scaling down the resolution to the least common denominator will work. The video card doesn't see the monitor directly, it sees the TH2Go. That doesn't mean the Matrox box won't do the scaling for you, but it probably doesn't and it's certainly far from ideal if it does. Now, if you don't mind a minor additional expense (maybe $125 or so) *and* most importantly your motherboard supports it, you can explore adding another 9800 GTX. You can then use the multi-monitor capabilities built in to DCS.
  5. A poster here (headspace) has a couple of video tutorials. Very worth a watch.
  6. Outstanding! Thank you sir. That is a much better start than what I was doing. I did notice the same off-sparkle bug and was hoping it was just my poor mission creation skills. This is probably the wrong place to ask, but do you know if there is a .miz-to-text conversion? I'm a text-editor kind of guy and would really like to build missions through script/xml/whatever. I'll do some digging but wanted to throw the question out there.
  7. @Headspace: Well done, sir. Your videos are top-quality. If you're not already a CFI you should rest easy knowing that if you ever decide on a career change there is something out there that that looks to be right in your wheelhouse. Look out King Schools! BTW, what mission did you fly? I can't seem to find it and my contrived example, well, it sucks. Need to work on mission building skills...
  8. Mainboard and processor have little to do with choosing the operating system (compatibility concerns aside). The primary reason to use a 64-bit OS is to utilize more than 4GB of RAM. If you do not have (or do not plan to upgrade to) 4GB or more, a 64-bit OS is a waste.
