  1. Thanks GROK lol: Comparison: F/A-18C Hornet SPR vs. Probe-and-Drogue Fuel Transfer Rate: SPR (Ground): Up to 300 GPM (2,040 lbs/min), limited by the aircraft’s ground refueling system and the external fuel source. Probe-and-Drogue (Air): 300–600 GPM (1,800–3,600 lbs/min), depending on the tanker, often exceeding the SPR rate with high-capacity tankers. Key Difference: The probe-and-drogue system can achieve higher rates with certain tankers (e.g., 600 GPM), doubling the SPR’s maximum, but it’s variable and situational. SPR is more consistent but capped lower due to ground equipment design and safety standards. Context: SPR is for pre-flight preparation on the ground, while probe-and-drogue is for in-flight mission extension, so their use cases don’t directly compete.
  2. I have yet to go into the settings and reconfigure. I went back into my "old school" way of removing the detent and using AB gate button option. I will most definitely look into it after the holidays when all the chaos settles lol- thanks again, man
  3. Bro- you did it. I put up my controls indicator and it was showing my mil power setting around 80% or so (as compared to the F-4 which is at 91.5%). I lowered the slider setting to match and it works perfectly. Whats your cashapp, paypal, etc- I owe you a case
  4. Yes, I used the VKB software to set-up the detents. I have been flying the F-4 for months like this with no issues, works perfectly. And my mil/AB setting is at around 90% because I do not need that much slop past the gate. Yeah, I know there are 5 stages of AB in the -A but I don’t need all that- its either mil or the firewall for me
  5. Hey fellow simmers- so I'm having an issue that I hope someone can help with. I've been away from the Tomcat for a few months, cheating on her with the Phantom- absolutely no guilt there. Anyways, I go into my options to make sure all is well and start a quick training mission I made on the editor. I'm in the A model on the carrier, I take off but the engines don't come out of AB even though the nozzles move accordingly. I reset and try again- they now come out of AB but the nozzles are stuck open. I check out the B model and I can't get the engines to go into AB and the nozzles are stuck open. On both the A and B the RPMs, TIT, FF, etc respond to throttle inputs. I even tried to use the afterburner gate setting (the checkbox option) but it doesn't work at all on either model. I have a VKB STECS Throttle System Mk.II Max with my AB gate set at 91.5% and I tried to mess around with the AB detent deadzone setting from 0 all the way to 10 with no luck whatsoever. My DCS is fully updated and I even did a cleanup and repair. I tried to search the forums for answers- I see some others have had the same exact issue a few months back but I couldn’t find if they were resolved. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  6. Heatblur, if you're reading this- I would like to see 'afterburner gate' added please. Unless I'm missing something...
  7. Are you just clicking it or holding it down? You have to hold down ‘m’ and click on component. Also RALT+M toggles manual on and off
  8. The most recent video I could find of the F-14, posted 11/13/2021- enjoy
  9. I can't even begin to tell you how awesome this is
  10. Just really needed to share this awesome video uploaded today. Holy crap, man.

  11. I must've watched your above narrated video a dozen times- Strike pretty much flew a spot-on demo if you match it up to any one of the actual demos loaded up on Youtube. How did Strike fly it so perfectly? He a prior Tomcat pilot or something? Anyways, I'm pretty much where Spurts is- just flying around n whatnot, trying my best. I'll get there one day...
  12. One of the things I would love to do with this plane is an airshow demo but honestly, I don't know how. Sure, I know the maneuvers but I don't know how to perform them properly in an airshow setting- any help? Altitudes, speeds, size of the airshow box, etc Is there official F-14 airshow demonstration documentation out there I don't know about? I apologize if this has been brought up before- thanks fellow Turkey drivers
  13. Ok- here try this link instead. Not sure why they're showing as corrupted https://mega.nz/folder/iw8ywRga#hbNSHslc8IVzEE395Is0hA
