Also getting performance drops, usually after a few minutes but sometimes straight away. In other planes (it still occurs but maybe one in 10 hours) I can just take the headset off for a few seconds and put it back on and it goes away, bu the F14 just stays stuttering.

+1 for RIO WPN Type. The prompts cover the wheel so there's no way to see what's being selected other than waiting 5+ seconds for it to disappear.

It's not that bad considering a game relaunch only takes 10-20 seconds...

Same here. No longer getting a crash while switching aircraft during a mission (after a few switches, need to test further) but changing mission results in a crash still.
