  1. Yeah, the new launcher that was introduced does not start right now. I got DCS to run again by launching the DCS.exe in Proton mode and afterwards changing back to wine. Also you may disable the non working launcher by adding the line "["launcher"] = false," after line 136 in your config (saved games/.../config/options.lua). If its already there, just change it from true to false.
  2. Thanks, if I get stuck, I'll let you know!
  3. Thanks, great addition. I'm still learning.
  4. Hello, this is how I run DCS World on Linux Mint using Lutris, I hope it will be useful. I can't really do support or give gurantees but my experiences might be a good jumping off point. At the end I have a list of modules I have testet. My setup: Linux Mint 21.3, Lutris 0.5.17 Flatpack edition, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER using nvidia-driver-535, Ravcore Javelin Stick, Selfbuilt 3 LED Opentrack Headtracker When launching Lutris hit the plus on the top left and select "Search for installation script on Lutris-Website" On the new window type DCS and select DCS World Next up select Eagle Dynamics and hit install Next you'll select your install directory. After continuing you can either have the installer downloaded automatically or do it manually. (I did it manually) Then DCS will be installed.... If you get the message "The application was modified!" then there need to be a few extra steps. If you have an headtracker you can set Lutris up to launch both DCS and Opentrack at the same time. I personally use Opentrack. (There is also a way to compile it in the replies, I havent tried it yet though) I fly a few modules, most work well, some don't. Here is the ones I've flown: These modules have problems: Apache MFDs have have garbled text, no TASD. KA-50III Skval sensor not working. Mirage 2000, radar display not working I hope those get better when DCS gets the vulcan update sometime. There is a workaround described here: LINK to hoggitworld If I find new things on trying things out, I'll update. For today, thats it from me!
  5. Its hard to tell only from the screenshots, if you use the Caucasus map you could send me the mission file and I´ll take a look. For testing if everything works I recommend you go into the trigger menu and attach to every trigger a 'Message to all' action with some text about the trigger. So you know if your triggers work correctly as you are testing your mission. For testing destroying planes, I´d just put a player plane temporarely behind the bombers and shoot them myself.
  6. Yeah, you are correct. For AI Push you can only can use Triggered Actions. Triggered actions are different to waypoint actions and have their own menu. Have a screenshot of the example missions Triggered Actions menu for the A10s.
  7. So you want the bombers to retreat when one is shot down? There is multiple ways to accomplish this, here is my way. Check via trigger if one of them is shot down and have them change waypoints. Check out this example I clicked together, if you shoot any of the A10s down they will do a 180 and retreat east. If you dont own the F5, feel free to change the player craft. Example mission: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zeiddgwmz888ulg/Bomber_down_example.miz?dl=0 You´ll need to know about Triggers and Triggered actions. You can read about Triggered Actions on Page 134 in the manual.
  8. Thanks, I dont have vietnam map though The rebel convoy mission shows up. I think the game hides the one you dont have the map for.
  9. Are there some F-5E missions for the Caucasus map? The user missions I tried dont show up in the game so I think its not in the caucasus map. I´m looking for ways to fly the F-5E.
  10. Ah ok, so I need the right map. Thanks for the help QuiGon!
  11. Whats that, the Nevada map? I only have the F-5E
  12. Switched to english, no joy. The Cordovia vs Dreamland is in an EN folder aswell - like the empty test campaign I put together. Only the test campaign shows up in the campaign menu. I did figure out something interesting though, if I replace the Missions of the Desert Tiger campaign with empty missions, the campaign shows up! Also I can not open the nor the Desert Tiger neither the Cordovia vs Dreamland missions in the mission editor, they are missing in the file selection.
  13. I did edit the .cmp file of the campaign, with the correct directorys - just needed to change DCS openbeta to DCSWorld. The campaign remains hidden in the main menu though. I made a little experiment on the side, installing the single mission Rebel Convoy did work and is playable. I also tried to install a different campaign called Cordovia vs Dreamland, I have the same problem with it, could the not showing up be reladed to any campaign? Edit: I could make a campaign with the campaign creator with 2 empty missions aswell, it shows up in the campaign menu but only if I put it in the Saved Games folder.
  14. Yeah, the Campaigns in Saved Games is empty - 0 Bytes large. Thanks for helping out, even though it doesnt want to work.
