  1. Also found I can do it in the mission editor before taking off. I just figured the game would give me some sort of default loadout. =) My bad.
  2. When going in to a quick mission in 1.5 using the A-10A, ones aircraft is equipped only with the gun. Uh. Shouldn't there be default loadouts for <insert target types here?>
  3. Grid weight is unknown. It's the default landing mission 2.0 quick flight There may be crosswind. I'm touching down centerline, though.
  4. I'm greasing in on the 'Landing' mission in 2.0. -100fpm or so. Invariably I list to the left upon touching the runway and it breaks the left landing gear. (I know this because upon touch and go, it doesn't go up. WTH?
  5. My forays into the Mission Editor have always been ...frustrating. I'll stick with the current work-around and wait patiently for a fix from DCS... I won't hold my breath while I wait, however.
  6. That worked a treat! Thanks! I would have never thought of that.
  7. Please forgive my ignorance; what's an NVG?
  8. So I'm flying along in Campaign Mission 2: Hauling Trash, not a problem in the world. I'm told my LZ has red smoke to signify it. I'm looking around. I don't see it. At all. Here's the problem: It's night. Or too early in the morning. They might as well be using 'midnight colored smoke' because I'm not going to bloody see it as it's, you know Too Bloody Dark. Is there a 'advance time of day' keyboard command that I've been previously unaware of? Some sort of special equipment in the heli that allows me to see red smoke in the dark? Any help would be most ...helpful.
  9. Okay, figured it out. Had to transfer the serial to my other account. Ye gods what a pain. But it seems to be working now. Or at least installing. Thanks for all the suggestions!
  10. Tried to download the alpha, but says it's only available via module manager. So when I try to login to module manager using the other account: Crash to Desktop.
  11. 1) I had A-10 in Beta. I read somewhere that entitles me to Nevada for free. 2) I installed "DCS World 2.0," this apparently doesn't come with the terrain I had in A-10. 3) It also doesn't come with Nevada. 4) It asks me to shuck out $49.99 for terrain I'm supposed to get for free. 5) I have no idea what happened to the terrain I had for A-10 and Black Shark; in short: There's no 'world' in DCS World. Oh. I bought these under two accounts, but moved all the purchases to this account. When I try to login using the other account, DCS World crashes to desktop instantly. Can someone tell me what the hell is going on? Thanks, Slaintemaith
  12. Ewwwwww... Sort of silly to make a P-51 and -not- make a proper WW2 or even Korean campaign.
  13. Please please please please tell me the campaign is -not- going to take place over Russia. It would be incredibly silly.
  14. Ironically, I'm having the exact issue described in the first post using Windows Vista 32 and a 8800 GTX card. TrackIR works swimmingly the first time I run Black Shark. Any time afterwards and TrackIR gets progressively sluggish. I shouldn't have to reboot every time I want to play.
  15. Tutorial in the manual would have been -very- nice. The training videos are great and all, but basically I'm going to have to go through them and write down everything anyway. A nice written version will allow me to hit Pause and look for the next keyboard command.
  16. I'll `fess up. I find the damned thing uncontrollable. Just getting to the point of putting it in auto-hover is hit and miss for me, and TrackIR isn't helping, as it's so sluggish to be a detriment. Every time I try to transition the speed from fast to slow and then try to bring it in to land, I always seem to wind up flying sideways. It's quite possibly the most frustrating sim I've ever played.
