  1. A related issue - if you wait 10 minutes and then take off the wingman doesn't even taxi from the parking spot. They just sit there unresponsive in parking with their engine running.

  3. @AlphaJuliet This appears to not be fixed in the current open beta. The wingman taxis to the tarawa takeoff point and then sits there with flaps up. If I contact tarawa and call inbound the wingman immediately takes off. I'll put together a example mission or track if you like.
  4. I got the Av8B a few days ago and it's a really great module. I do find the switchology really strange after using the A-10 etc, but if you've got the patience to learn the sensor manipulations to designate and then employ weapons then you'll be fine. I've definitely had a few issues where everything is working fine and the weapon just absolutely refuses to fire. These aren't issues with the module, but limitations and restrictions of the actual aircraft. Once I had accidentally bumped my nozzles which disabled weapons for example, so I locked a maverick and it just refused to come off the rail. Landing and taking off is a joy. I sometimes just fly patterns for fun. If there's one thing I think could use updating, it is the canon sound. The rest of the sounds are 10/10. Don't forget to remove chocks when you first load in.
  5. Yes - if you want to plot an intercept course and see the target box in the HUD, hit POL (Police Intercept mode). I use this when joining up with the tanker until I get into visual range and go nose cold.
  6. Yeah no worries - I understand that versions make things inconsistent. Also note from my previous post that Berger actually parks his aircraft and crashes with his wingman and they eject - something the player sees when coming back and parking. You might be able to change the parking allocation to fix that.
  7. Ok - have completed this mission after a week of frustration. For once the F-16's actually did a decent job of taking on the Phantoms. Normally they are only firing about 3 amraams total before entering a dogfight and getting overwhelmed. One major issue seems to be that the F-4's are carrying 8 missiles each. So with about 8 of them plus the other flights they simply overwhelm the blue flights. In the end half the blue force were shot down. The last of the enemies had to be dispatched with guns because we were out of missiles. Also the AI flights that come back in the other direction land and crash at the parking ramp. More aircraft ran out of fuel - like the other missions in the campaign, the AI need to be given unlimited fuel or something.
  8. Just tried again and after a long dog fight I was blown out of the sky after every other blue force jet was shot down. Blue force was decimated by the less skilled red force. Almost all the phantoms were still alive despite the F-16's being told to go after them. They launched on the tigers instead. Even after shooting down 3 enemies I can't get past this.
  9. Just to bring this up again. I've tried mission 6 many many times. And I'm continually being shot out of the sky with little warning, usually by the tigers with an aim-9. They seem to find me a few minutes in. It's such a pain to have to fly all the way out hampered by channel switching for awacs and wingman. In the latest attempt I hadn't even been able to get a single lock on a target in TWS before being shot down by tigers. Is it meant to be this hard?

  11. Hello - on Mission 13. I've done this a couple of times now and there's no reply from the AI JTAC. I even u-turned to fly the valley again to try and trigger the AI JTAC - no response.   13. Hi! I thought I would find a post here about compatibility of this excellent campaign with 2.5, but didn't see anything. Last night I tried mission 2, but no radio calls occured at all, no events happened in the mission... it just seemed like no triggers or actions were activating. So I flew around and then quit. Any ideas?
  14. I concur. The campaign is something else. There's nothing quite like putting the old A-10 to use in such an operation. +1 for having the flights all launch in front of you at Nellis.
