  1. I have an online friend who loves his X-65 and spends most of his time flying BMS Falcon 4. You may be right but it really depends on what your flying. I really like to fly helicopters and old plans from years gone by. I hear the X-65 stick doesn't suit this so much. I ordered a TM Warthog and from what I can see the stick layout is the same as the F-16 and the throttle controls are fairly generic to be remaped. You're right though - it's without the rotaries.
  2. The F-16 responds to pressure on an almost non moving stick. The pressure sensitivity adjusts the pressure response. So I guess they have formation flying low sensitivity and dog fighting high sensitivity. I think the same thing is in the Saitek X-65 with preset sensitivities. I'm going to try these axis curves tonight as I can connect to the refueling tanker but the controls are either far too sensitive to keep contact or I'm doing it wrong. I use the X-52 and have the Thrustmaster Warthog on order. Hopefully getting the curves right will do it for me. I love this game.
  3. I've just ordered the TM Warthog HOTAS. I can't wait to get my hands on it. I'm replacing my X-52. Thanks for the comments guys, your feedback and opinions are much appreciated.
  4. This just happened to me twice in a row at Beslan. Seems to be a bug.
  5. I have been struggling with this same issue. I'll try the same fix in the default profile. Thanks heaps for this profile. It looks really good!
  6. Cool - will do. By the way, are other people engaging these missions using JDAMs from above the clouds? I was thinking of using this tactic and from what I understand JDAMs work through clouds etc. This weather is dam annoying!
  7. Ah good to know. Thanks.
  8. Hey guys - I'm on the 3rd mission of Devil's Crossing. I've reached the contact point and tuned my radio to JTAC's frequency. I'm not getting a response though. The radio worked fine for ATC. I've tuned it manually to the frequency in the briefing - 134.75. The radio is set to TR so should be working and the volume is up when I hit squelch. I also tuned it to the last missions frequency - 131.00 and no joy there either. Any ideas? Should I just restart the mission and try again? I'm burning fuel in orbit over a dark JTAC. Any one else encountered this problem?
  9. Cool thanks guys. I'm giving it another go now.
  10. Hi there, I'm completely stuck on 'On the other side' mission of the first campaign. I can make it over the mountains just fine. Then I wait and the ingres point and eventually get shot down by 2 Hinds. I've flown this mission about 5 or 6 times now and I'm about to give up on this game because of the frustration. I've tried waiting and hoping the fixed wing cover take them out. I've tried going in quick to avoid them. I've tried shooting them down and I've tried telling my wingmen to atk bandits / cover me. Nothing has worked. Any ideas?
