  1. Oh god. Release! release now! Ehmmm... anyway you can tamper the sky?
  2. Outstanding work! What does bug me though, without it being your fault in any way, is how these high res textures stick out of the bland, low res environment. Please try your hand upgrading the whole ground set to the same standard, for you are very talented!
  3. In all seriousness, this *is* present in BS. Just look closer. Didn't you ever have to use more than one Vikhr on a target? Look how it brews after the shot. Ok, it could be implemented better, but what the OP means, at least as I understand it, is indeed featured.
  4. Oh, come on! Dalayed explosions on military targets-- that's boring!
  5. Dear T.Bone, I wasn't refering to you in particular, although you gave me the incentive. Take my post as a parody of a general mentality if you will; a comment on these futile discussions, when ED has clearly stated that what they are going to model, depends on their 'other' contracts and available information. I was delighted when I first got my hands on Flanker 2.0, because, you know, this offered me a fresh insight into modern air combat on our limited medium, regardless if I have never seen a russian ship in my whole life. Plus, I'm a commie bastard deep inside :p. So,there.
  6. I like how people here are debating over... "national" stuff. I guess, being greek, I shouldn't ask for more than what we already have: Falcon 4.0 However, following the tide: 1) I demand that we only get the AH-64A, which we are going to anyway, because that's what my country is using. No D whatsoever, sorry.(n itz eeez lol) 2) I also demand that the Mirage2000 present in lockon is promptly upgraded and incorporateded to the -9 standard, coz we also have it here. And with fully clickable cockpit pls. kthx. (n i knowsome d00d who makez som cockpitz n stuff 4 it) 3) I want full ASW* modelled. I want the 212, SeaKnight andwhatshit: want some non-coaxial shit coz I paid 4 my pedals, ya know? kthx Moar will come. P.S: I do want the Raphale P.S.S: Nay, I *demand* it *don't try this at home kids Edit: forgor an awesome fighter-bomber (jabo for you IL-2 freaks) that I see on parades: A-7H Corsair II. We have it (we do!). You make it. It's thirdwire bonanza all over again. Yeah baby
  7. Hi, While not completely new here, I had to re-register because -obviously- old lockon.ru logins wont't work. I bought BS about 20 days ago and I must say I am highly impressed with the flight modeling. That said, most people here seem to think in terms of fixed wing aircraft which were featured in lockon. So let us get some things straight: Most of you are familiar with the term "Angle of Attack (AoA)" of an airfoil. You know what it does, you flew lockon and maybe countless other sims. As you are aware, the greater the angle of attack, the more lift a rotor blade (practically a wing) generates and more power is required to drive it through the air at a given speed, because of drag. All your controls work by changing the pitch angle of the rotor blades. If the rotor was operating in motionless air, pitch you command with the cyclic and AoA would be the same in value. But, this is only true when the rotor spools up. Once the rotor is spinning, it creates a constant downwash through the rotor "dish". If there's an air current through your rotor disc, as when hovering or moving over the ground, this also changes the effective AoA of the rotor blades. The half of the rotor disk that is moving forward into the wind, has a higher AoA and higher airspeed than the retreating half. This means, if you picture it from above, that the rotor generates more lift on the advancing than on the retreating side. So, your aircraft has the tendency to roll to the side that is generating less lift. Enjoy flying a helo for what it is :)
