No such thing as an LED monitor...just an LED backlit LCD monitor..and there are 2 types of backlit LED's ...border lit and full screen backlit....the new samsungs use full screen LED backlit LCD's and they look sharp as hell!!!!

my wife hates the theater so I always go by myslef...cuz all my guys friends think its gay if 2 dudes goto the theater LOL I always see people there alone.....Why do I care if anyone there judges me...not like ill ever see them again in my lifetime!

liek my setup..been playing on a 56" DLP for a while now..cockpit is almost life like =) i'm gonna be getting track ir also soon..but heres a tip I found from their site...you'll get much less accuracy and freedom of movement with the track ir that far out on either side...you can put it behind your head on a tripod or wall mounted and just reverse the AXIS' you'll get much better response/accuracy that way!

I wonder if that AMC C5-A is from my old my old station at westover ARB in massachusetts?? ill have to check the tail numbers ;)

yeah you can seup track ir or something on a cheap ass tripod cloer to you or something...i am going to be getting it though. and no,in game text works fine,its not the same resolution as the desktop...hard to explain but it works perfectly. and If i remember the computer doest do 1080i/p just p i think as a computer video feeds is a constant signal,not the same as watching TV or movies. cleartype is easy to turn on...just right click decktop,apperance tab,effects,then click the second box down and select cleartype. I have mine turned off for the TV but when I had my laptop screen on a made a big difference. hey ramstein you should see the new f16 simulator it uses a 17" lcd like 2 feet in front of you and then a 46" lcd 4 feet in front of you..the smaller one is for the cockpit and the bigger one is the view...talk about in your face......meant to fill you field of vission.

also my brother was also having troule reading text on his 65" dlp from 8 feet away (not as bad as mine)...so I told him to switch to 1360x768 and he LOVES it.....nothing like surfing the net or playing games chillin on your couch drinking brews!!! NEVER again will I go to viewing a computer on a monitor or sitting at a desk LOL

are you talking about readable text on the desktop or in game..in game i can read everything fine..but on desktop i have to be 3 feet away to read websites at 1080p.....for my windows desktop I use 1360x768 its fits a 1080 tv perfectly and dont get the over scan problems of 720..and I sit about 8-9 feet away on my couch and can read everything crystal clear!

not true HDCP is also over DVI.....dont spread false information. there are onyl a few video cards that have HDMI output and most of them are by the brand sparkle which not many people know of that manufacturer...I almost bought one but strayed away.

This is what I run...a 15' DVI to HDMI cable from my laptop to my 56" 1080p DLP....It works flawlessly and support HDCP...Now i went to best buy at first and monster cables that long cost anywhere from $100-200!!!! so i jumped on amazon.com and got my cable for $8.95!!!! its all digitital information so those fancy gold plated cables wont really do shit...not like a high end analog cable might.And Ive also found that its harder to find and HDMI car rather than one with DVI and your selection for cards that you could use (brand wise) diminishes.

9800GTX+ SLI all the way!!!! $135 per card so $270 for 2 (less than a single 280) and its all the bench marks ive seen beats its performance quite a bit!

Well I have a 15' DVI-HDMI cable for my setup...went to best buy and the cable was over $100!!!! hoped on amazon.com and got a cable for $8.95 free shipping! dont forget that digital is digital..those fancy monster hdmi cables work exactly the same as the regular inexpensive ones....and yes its an HDMI 1.3 cable!

burn in only happens when you have the same image without motion on the screen for long periods..use the simple windows screensaver and dont worry about it!

Well I'm currently using my PC hooked up to my 56" 1080P DLP tv and its GORGEOUS!!!! I either use 1360x768 or 1920x1080 and all is great..I will never use a PC monitor again!!!!!!!!!!! The cockpit looks almost life like on my tv!

Yeah I would love TrackIR also but I play on a nice 56" DLP tv...I bought it to be my main computer display and games look amazing on it. And as far as I know trackir is limited to about 3-4 feet.

Well when I started doing the training missions the view was dead ahead and I could follow the mouse around and the camera would pan etc. etc. now after doing to instant action and playing with views and zooming and such when I go into trainign the view goes right to the pilots legs or a panel and I can't really use the training at all...and on my joystick where i had a button that would automatically center my view it now goes right to the legs. its a little frustrating and cannot figure it out..tried all the view keys in the manual and can't find one that will automatically get my trainign view to be how it was when I first installed.
