Hello, I have had various problems with new OS's and other pieces of software over the time that I have had BS, though BS itself has always been reliable, and this has necessitated OS reinstallments from time to time. After putting my new OS on and re-installing BS this time I went to 'files' and 'products' to look for my activation number, having stupidly failed to uninstall properly, but now I find the number isn't there. I really cannot think that I have used up 8 re-activations but it is a possibility. I am writing therefore to see if anything can be done and I would be very grateful indeed if you could help. Thanks for the replies guys. Have been away for a bit - Macka: No, haven't installed any of the things you mentioned so can't be that. Chillspider: More I think about it the more I think your right. Did a clean install the other day from an old backup that I'd forgeotten about and had worked perfectly before - same problem. It can only be that something is left after uninstall and of coursesomething IS left and that is whatever it is that allows us to reinstall without activation. The bug must be contained in there I would have thought.

I know a couple of people have already mentioned this as a problem so I'll start a new thread. Something strange here. Have installed before and all worked fine. THis time after OS breakdown and complete reinstall, weapons show up as present from the cockpit, guided weapons even launch, but a) no external ordenance at all is visible in F2 view, on mine or any AI aircraft, and upon attempting to launch unguided rockets I just blow up. I've tried reinstalling but no joy. I really would not like to have to download again if I can help it, it takes 6 hours with my connection. Really annoying because otherwise this is a great sim. Any advice please, would be very appreciated. Thanks all P.S have just noticed allot of people seem to have same problem in Lock-on??? Neil:(

I've got the same problem. Weapons are registering in the cockpit and firing as normal, but looking at aircraft form the outside in the F2 view and all of the weapons stations look empty. I've reinstalled after an OS crash (nothing to do with BS) and this didn't happen before. I'm really quite puzzled. Is there any way of dealing with this than having to download the lot again. N.
