  1. Would disabling easy comms and not tuning into the relevant ATC frequency work for you?
  2. Hi, Does this work for you? There might be a better/more efficient way of doing it but I think meets your needs.
  3. Indeed. That boiled down to the fact he was unable to connect both his monitor (HDMI only) to his GPU (only 1 HDMI output, rest are DP) whilst the Rift was plugged in. We just moved his PC up to my room and plugged the rift in via HDMI and my monitor in via DP. We also followed the steps suggested by an ED IT Tech to increase the TdrDelay to 15-30 seconds as noted here. The game managed to load and we were able to get into a mission and sit in a jet for about 30 seconds before the game hung, after roughly 15 seconds the game crashed - the GPU did not recover during the TDR delay, instead it just waited to die
  4. So I used DDU to uninstall all Nvidia drivers and then reinstalled the latest driver (417.71) without GeForce Experience; the issue still persists. In fact, now DCS won't load in VR at all, it crashes almost immediately on the loading screen. Latest log attached. dcs.log.txt
  5. A friend of mine is also experiencing this issue, however, he experiences it on the main menu (minor flashes) and then as soon as he jumps in a jet it appears much more frequently. Changing the water issue has had no effect. I made a separate thread because unlike this one, his game always crashes.
  6. Thank you, guys. I forgot to mention I've already boosted the Page File to 32GB; excessive I know, but at the moment he built the PC solely for DCS and he's got ample space on his M.2 - I'll reflect this is my original post. I am yet to try 'properly' uninstalling the Graphics Driver using DDU, I'll try that to today and see if it has any effect? What do you think the likelihood is of it being a faulty GPU? It was working flawlessly on both machines for a few days and then it appeared.
  7. Firstly, I am writing this on behalf of a friend. There are four of us in our house who play DCS in VR, 2 of which have both just bought a PC and VR in order to play with us – we all have very similar builds. One out of the four is experiencing extremely frequent stutters and then the game always crashes and requests that we forward a log. The stuttering sounds exactly like this post; a lot of the comments advise turning down the water setting to low, we’ve done that and it still occurs. Typically, the game will crash within 5-30 seconds of entering an aircraft. A ticket was raised to ED and they replied: So far, I have done the following: Reinstalled DCS - Tried both Open Beta and the Stable version Reinstalled Oculus Reinstalled the following Nvidia Drivers - 417.71 and 417.35 Re-seated his GPU Increase Page File to 32GB - stored on the M.2 Throttled his GPU to 80% in MSI afterburner - We were able to play for longer than usual (2-3 mins) before the game finally crashed. - The stuttering was persistent throughout. Tried his VR headset on my PC; issue not present. Tried his GPU in my ‘second’ PC; issue still present. - This GPU was previously in my second PC about 5 days ago and it worked flawlessly - We moved the GPU into his new PC (after waiting for all his parts to arrive) - DCS worked flawlessly for about 36 hours and then this issue started. Used DDU to uninstall Nvidia drivers and then reinstall the latest driver (417.71) Amazon is sending us a replacement GPU, I am hoping this will fix the regular crashing but I’m not sure whether it will fix the stuttering. I’ve attached a copy of the logs and the mission file here, is anyone able to offer any further suggestions?
  8. Don't be put off trying VR in multiplayer. I use it all the time and I find it incredible, I've had no issues in BVR or BFM encounters. With CAS, I did find it useful to export my DDI's/MFCD's to another monitor for a greater resolution providing greater clarity; however, I much prefer the immersion of VR and accept the hit that I may have to lean in a few times, albeit not too often. I currently have a similar set-up to you but I did go a little crazy yesterday and order a lot of new parts =D After all my PC is nearly 7 years old (minus the GPU/SSD). i5-3570K @ 4.2, GTX 1080, 16GB DDR3 1600, SSD.
