Can confirm. I was building a Testing Mission and I set the condition to, "Part of Group in zone = X Group", "or", "Part of Group in zone = X Group". Every time I would go into the mission to test, the enemy aircraft would already be in the air even with late activation marked for the enemy group I was testing. The only work around I found so far was to change the "Part of Group in Zone", to "Part of Coalition in Zone". When I did that and tested it, it worked as it should, but it's not what I wanted it to do. I am glad the Devs are working on it. I hope they get it patched on the next update. It is not a game breaking situation, so I do not mind how long it takes. I will just have to come back later and build the mission I was working on because I need the "Part of Group in Zone" condition.

@draconus Yeah I figured that would be the case. I agree it would be #1 on the wish list as I know I am probably not the first person to ask about this. It would help planning missions that involve the carriers so much more immersive if we could place them anywhere on the carrier for players. I already knew about the spawn and launch order control but had completely forgot about that so thank you for reminding me. I will find a way that fits our needs. I am heavy into creating missions and coming up with scenarios for me and my community to fly. I am creating a campaign and when placing aircraft on the Super Carrier, the planes always go to the catapult area no matter what. I know when you spawn into the aircraft they will show up near the elevators or in front of the catapult. But sometimes, when two people spawn into an aircraft at the same time, the planes connect and cause damage to the aircraft. Is there a way to put planes into a custom area like you do with static aircraft and when the player spawns into said aircraft, they will be in the custom spot where it was placed? @BIGNEWYIf this is not possible currently, could this maybe be a feature added in the future, or am I just missing something?

@BIGNEWY The only way this works like it is suppose to is against static targets. I tried this both in regular and VR mode. Any targets I have set that are active threats will not show up no matter if they move or not, at least for me anyway. I can sometimes see them with the TGP set to TV mode, and if the target is set on a clear open field with no vegetation. I also tested this on the PG Map and I cannot see anything no matter what the TGP is set to unless they are static targets. -

I have a question regarding the use of Mavericks and acquiring targets using the MFPD. I use the TGP while searching for targets and when I locate one and switch to my Maverick side MFPD, I cannot see the targets until I am very close and almost to the point where it is impossible to lock on and strike the target. I end up over shooting and missing the target completely. I use VR (HTC Vive Pro) and I use to be able to see targets clearly, but now I cannot even hardly see the targets. Has anyone else had this problem in VR or know what I can do to fix it? -
I usually set to auto like Wags explained in the video. I have also switched it between different ranges from 100 to 1500. Still does the same thing. TrackIR I hit targets fine, but in VR it seems a bit different even tho I am doing everything the same way.

I agree. The Apache and VR are a great combination. The only problem I have had is after boresighting, and I fire my guns at a target, my rounds tend to hit way off. Are any of you having this problem or am I doing something wrong? I am boresighting the same way as I do when I use my TrackIR and my rounds hit fine on targets then.

Yeah since I originally posted it, It seems to stay on but I have figured out how to fire my missiles and destroy targets even from the pilot seat. May just be a glitch where it is showing the limits, but not actually being limited. I had the same problem you did as well except mine was showing the BAL Limit even when my laser and nose of the aircraft was directly in front of me. I am sure everything will get patched and updated as time goes by, I am sure everyone expected there to be a few issues on initial release.

Whenever I am sitting in the Gunners seat and acquire my target with the Hellfires, I keep getting a BAL Limit. What is this and what do I need to do to keep from getting it? I have tried tried going higher in altitude and even get closer to the target but I keep getting this. I end up getting shot down by targets that are further away. It prevents me from activating my the LFRD lasing option to where I cannot lase the target. Can anyone help with this?

Dedicated Servers not showing up in list.

I am also having this issue. I am attempting to host a server for me and my friends to enjoy but it does not show up for them and when they try to connect through the IP, it says server offline. I never had this problem either as my friends could always connect to my hosted session. Now everything is different and we cannot fly missions together. A lot of people put several hours/days/weeks or even months building missions on the mission editor, we should be able to share the fun with friends and get true feedback or just simply enjoy the missions. Multiplayer hosted sessions need to be addressed and fixed. DCS is an amazing experience and I would hate to think people would leave DCS simply because of multiplayer connection issues. We also have the Apache coming, it would be a shame to think that we could not fully enjoy that chopper due to friends not being able to join sessions. -
ok I got it working the way I wanted to. Thank you for that. It jogged my memory. Is there a way to make these missions only show up for particular aircraft. For example, if I wanted to do chopper missions as a side mission, but only have those choppers be able to see it in the F-10 menu and activate the mission.

Hey guys, Its has been awhile since I have messed around with the Mission Editor for the most part and need some help refreshing my memory on how to add a sub item to the F-10 menu. I have done it before, I just cannot for the life of me remember how I did it. So what I am wanting to do is this. I have added a radio item that says mission list after clicking "other", which shows up fine. But how do I make it to where I click on said missions list and show mission 1? Once I click on Mission 1, I want details for that mission to show up for me and my guys. Can anyone help me on figuring this out please? Any help would be great.

Hello Eagle15, I hope you are well. I have a few questions for you regarding your request to join the squadron.
1) How did you hear about our squadron? Did you come across it on the forums or do you know some that is affiliated with us?
2) Do you own any modules besides the default ones that come with DCS?
3) Have you purchased any maps, or do you only own the default map?
4) Are you using DCS World Open Beta or are you on the stand alone version?
5) How long have you played DCS World?
Please respond when you have time. The 82nd Black Lions Squadron is in the process of being reformed.

Update to my last. It works only for me for some reason. In my multiplayer mission, I am the only that can spawn in an aircraft, no one else can for some reason. Maybe we do have to have a script. -

I just recently learned this myself. I have aircraft finally spawning at an airbase after capturing it and aircraft cannot be selected until the air base is captured. Try this if you have not figured it out yet. This is without scripts. Step 1: Place all the aircraft you want at an airbase and set them as late activation. (Which I am sure you already know) Step 2: Create a trigger to capture that particular airbase. When you get to the Actions portion of the trigger, select Flag Increase with your desired flag and value number. Step 3: Create another trigger and select the Type as Repetitive Action. Then name it whatever you want to let you know what the trigger is. Under conditions, set Flag Equals and set the Flag number and Value the same as the previous trigger in step 2.Under Actions, select Group activate and set all the desired groups of aircraft that you want to spawn after base capture. That's all there is to it. I searched everywhere and could never find anything and could never get a straight answer on how to do this. Someone I recently met in DCS walked me through this. I am currently building a mission to do exactly this after capturing bases. There are scripts out that from my understanding to get this done, but this is the way to do without scripts and it works perfectly. I have tested this with friends and every aircraft becomes available to spawn in after base capture and will only become available after doing so. I hope this helps and/or answers your question. -
Hey guys, I am working on a mission and trying to add a radio item for a particular flight group only for a side mission. I have selected the radio add item for group and selected the group. However, It is allowing all aircraft to see this radio add item and activating the side mission, even though I have selected for a particular group only. Am I missing something or is there an issue with the radio add item?

Thank you Dorian, I will double check that but I think it is set up correct. It was working for me prior to this last update. But I did notice that it began to work when I was around 5000 ft or lower but not above that level. Weird. Think it may have been a bug. But I will check those audio outputs.

Has anyone had any issues with there being no audio from the EWR when getting fired upon from SAM units? I was testing a mission and was getting shot at by various types of SAM units and I noticed missiles being fired at me but no audio warning. I had it turned on as I always do prior to taking off from the runway. I only recently began to have these issues as I have used these exact same SAM units before and was getting the audio when I was fired upon.

Sorry for putting this in the wrong place, but the section also stated Help Request so I thought it was appropriate considering I was asking for help with something. I was reading the response and it never dawned on me that I do not have to use an actual script file as I have been told. Can it be that simple as just doing a script within DCS itself, all I need is the format for what I am needing. I was trying to learn Moose but it gave me a headache because Eclipse was not working correctly and I could not get the file to show up. I do not want to go overboard but there are a few things I would like to put into place. In addition to the Radio Item Add, I have been trying to get aircraft to spawn at airbases after the base capture is complete but have been unsuccessful. I place the aircraft down and click late activation, and in the trigger put them to activate after groups are dead, but it did not work. All we get is your flight is delayed. Would this also need to be done within a script?
