Thanks. So the official release date of any module will always refer to an open beta release? Should I install both versions (at 120GB+ each I'd rather not!)? Is there any benefit to only installing the open beta? Does the latest stable version mirror the latest beta at time of release?

Is it only currently available for the open beta? I take it that 2.5.4 stable will release next week (the official launch date of the Eagle)?

Had this twice in the same flight. Assume it's a bug?! First time: climbing past 51320 feet and the speed/alt/mach stopped updating (though compass heading was updating). It didn't start updating again until I was <5000 feet. Second time: climbing past 61000 feet and the same; no updates to the hud except compass/ladder. Server reset so I didn't see it start updating.

Well said. I've only had DCS for a couple of weeks but I'm having a blast. I can see myself having a very exciting 2019.

I've pre-ordered too. Looks great. It might not be a popular opinion on here, but I'd be happy to see more GA stuff (Cessna 152, Piper Tomahawk, etc.).

The right aileron is visible even when the wing is destroyed. See pic. A minor bug, to be sure, but I thought I'd mention it. A great aircraft though!
